Conventionally, wrinkles have been applied to a sheet-like material such as a plastic film while it is being transported or wound up, by applying a force in the direction of widening the sheet-like material on the roll surface to remove wrinkles from the sheet-like material on the roll. Various types of take-up rolls are known.

Metal rolls and rubber rolls are known in which grooves are carved into the roll surface in a spiral pattern from the center in the longitudinal direction to both ends (for example,
Publication No.). Also known is a roll in which a spiral groove is formed in a rubber roll, a striped member is stuffed into the groove, and the striped member is made to protrude spirally from the roll surface (see Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 193346/1983). ). The latter roll can also be considered to be equivalent in shape to the former roll, since the portion between the spiral stripes forms a spiral groove.

By applying a widening force, wrinkles in the sheet-like material can be smoothed out.

There is. Particularly in the case of plastic films and coating sheets that are sensitive to scratches, the acceptance rate of the product may be significantly lowered.

The wrinkle-removal roll of the present invention that meets this purpose has two spirally extending rolls on the roll surface from the center in the longitudinal direction toward both ends, each having a different coefficient of friction with respect to the sheet material conveyed on the roll surface. The roller roll has a spirally extending surface made of more than one rigid body, and the roll surface is formed substantially flush.

In such a wrinkle removing roll, the sheet-like material is gripped on the roll surface by a spiral extending surface having a high friction coefficient, and as the roll rotates, the surface advances from the center of the roll length direction toward both ends, creating a spiral effect that applies a width expanding force to the sheet-like material in the width direction.
The sheet slides in the width direction (roller longitudinal direction) on the spirally extending surface having a low friction coefficient, and is expanded in the width direction by the expanding action of the spirally extending surface having a high friction coefficient, thereby smoothing out wrinkles.

Since it is made of a rigid body, there is no wear on the sheet-like object.

The helical extending surface 5 is formed on the surface of the roll ring body 3 which has been subjected to a satin finishing process to form minute irregularities on the surface by sandblasting, plasma processing, etc. has been done. Spiral extending surface 5 with this satin finishing
In this embodiment, the plastic film 2 has a higher coefficient of friction than the spirally extending surface 4 plated with HCr. The spirally extending surface 4 and the spirally extending surface 5 constitute a flat roll surface with substantially no difference in level.

A widening force acts on the plastic film 2 as it moves from the end toward both ends. The plastic film 2 slides in the width direction on the spiral extending surface 4 with a low coefficient of friction, and the film 2 is expanded in the width direction from the position where it starts contacting the roll to the position where it leaves the roll. I am stretched out. Since both spirally extending surfaces 4 and 5 are formed substantially flush, no edges are formed with respect to the plastic film 2, as shown in FIG.
The edge portion does not damage the film 2. Moreover, since both spiral extending surfaces 4 and 5 are rigid surfaces made of metal surfaces, they do not wear against the film 2.

In this case, the metal surface 14 may be made of the material itself, a material with a satin finish, a material with plating, or the like. As explained above, when using the wrinkle removing roll of the present invention, the roll surface is made flush with two or more types of spiral extending surfaces made of a rigid body and having different coefficients of friction. While smoothing the wrinkles of the sheet-like object due to the spiral effect created by the surface, it prevents the sheet-like object from being scratched, and
Abrasion of the roll surface can be prevented, and both a long-term stable wrinkle removal effect and an effect of preventing deterioration in sheet-like material quality can be obtained.
