送口6aに送り込むスクリユー羽根52bを設け
る一方、前記フイーダハウス6の偏位方向に位置
する前記ドラム本体52aの軸方向一側端部外周
に、前記ドラム本体52aの外周面から半径方向
外方に突出し、かつ、前記ドラム本体52aの軸
心と直交する平面と平行な平坦面をもつ円板状部
11と、この円板状部11に始端部が連続し、該
円板状部11から前記フイーダハウス6の搬送口
6aに穀稈を送り込む短寸の螺旋部52cとを備
え、これら円板状部11と螺旋部52cとにより
前記ドラム本体52aの軸方向一側端部から前記
プラツトホーム5の側壁への穀稈移動を阻止する
環状阻止壁を形成すると共に、該環状阻止壁に臨
む前記プラツトホーム5の側壁内面に、前記円板
状部11の外周に向かつて突出する巻付防止部1
2を設けたから、フイーダハウス6の偏位側に位
置する掻込ドラム52の軸長を短くしてフイーダ
ハウス6とプラツトホーム51とを平面視L型状
に連結して、コンバイン全体としての小型化を図
ることができ、それでいて、フイーダハウス6の
偏位側に位置する掻込ドラム52の端部近くで穀
稈が滞留したりからみ付いたりするのを防止でき
るのである。

ホーム5の側壁内面に、前記円板状部11の外周
に向かつて突出する巻付防止部12を設けたか
ら、該巻付防止部12と前記円板状部11の外周
縁とで穀稈のドラム本体52aの端面とプラツト
ホーム5の側壁内面との間への侵入を阻止して、
ドラム軸への巻付きを確実に阻止することができ
るのである。こうして、前記環状阻止壁による穀
稈のプラツトホーム5の側壁への移動阻止作用及
び搬送口6aへの送り作用と、前記巻付防止部1
2による穀稈のドラム軸への巻付防止作用とが相
俟つて、フイーダハウス6の偏位側に位置する掻
込ドラム52の軸長を短くし、全体の小型化を図
つているにもかかわらず、穀稈の滞留や巻付きを
確実に阻止できるのである。
