PURPOSE:To eliminate the influence of heat on a photosensitive body and to improve the carrying property of a transfer paper by providing a first opening/ closing member which opens/closes the entrance of a fixing device and a second opening/closing member which opens/closes an exhaust path formed between the photosensitive body and the fixing device. CONSTITUTION:When a transfer paper is not fed the entrance 24 of the fixing device 23 is closed by the first opening/closing member 31, so that heat in the fixing device 23 is prevented from dissipating out. At this time, the second opening/closing member 33 opens the exhaust path 29, so that the photosensitive body 12 is cooled by the flow of exhaust air by an exhaust fan; therefore, the deterioration of the photosensitive body which is caused by heat is prevented.
