2. Description of the Related Art Generally, in a fixing device in an electrophotographic apparatus or the like, as shown in FIG. 4, when a copy paper C having a toner T transferred on its surface in a transfer process is conveyed to the fixing process thereafter, it is fixed in a fixing roll. A system is used in which the paper is passed between the roller 22 and the pressure roller 23 that is in pressure contact with the roller 22, and the image is fixed on the copy paper C by heat and pressure. However, in this method, the unfixed toner T is not formed on the surface of the fixing roller 22 and the pressure roller 23.
Therefore, a cleaning mechanism 24 such as a roller or blade is provided, or an oil application roller 21 is provided. Of these, the oil application roller 21 is for directly applying oil as a release agent (for example, silicone oil) to the roller that comes into contact with the toner T, to prevent toner offset or toner. It is used to improve releasability and improve paper passage. As shown in FIG. 3, a conventional oil coating roller has a plurality of holes 11a formed in an aluminum pipe 11 in which silicone oil 12 as a releasing agent is sealed, and paper 13 is wound around the aluminum pipe 11 to be stuck. It has a structure in which the felt 14 is worn and wound on the felt 14. The silicone oil 12 penetrates through the hole 11a into the paper 13 and the felt 14 on the outer side of the aluminum pipe 11 by a capillarity phenomenon. It was applied to obtain the above effect.

However, in the conventional oil coating roller, since the paper 13 and the felt 14 are simply wound around the perforated pipe 11, the oil is likely to be excessive and a stable oil supply is lacking. Was there. In addition, since it has a structure in which the paper is only sandwiched, it lacks cushioning properties and is weak against heat, so it could not be used for a roller where high heat is applied. The present invention has been made in view of the drawbacks of the conventional oil coating roller described above, and an object of the present invention is to reduce the supply of oil as much as possible when not in use and to enable stable supply of oil during use. At the same time, it is an oil application roller that can be used even at high temperatures around 200 degrees by improving the cushioning property and heat resistance by using heat resistant fibers, and also has a cleaning function as well as an oil application function. It is an object of the present invention to provide an oil application roller which can be used not only as an oil application roller but also as a cleaning roller by improving the oil application roller.

Operation: This oil application roller is a conventional oil application roller.
Like the roller, it is pressed against the fixing roller and / or the pressure roller. Then, the silicone oil in the aluminum pipe oozes out from the small holes, and the oil is applied to the partner roller through the first first heat resistant fiber, the cut elastic layer, and the second heat resistant fiber. Further, since it uses two heat resistant fibers and an elastic layer, it is resistant to heat and has increased cushioning properties, so it can be used as a cleaning roller.

Embodiments of the oil coating roller of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a vertical cross-sectional view of an oil application roller of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a partial perspective view during manufacturing. In these figures, reference numeral 1 is a hollow cylindrical core metal,
Normally, a hollow aluminum pipe is used. A mold release agent (silicone oil) 2 is enclosed inside the aluminum pipe. In addition, the surface of the pipe 1 has a length of 12
Small holes 1a are spirally formed at positions of three rows offset by 0 °. Reference numeral 3 denotes a first heat resistant fiber such as aramid fiber wound with a double-sided tape so as to cover the small hole 1a of the aluminum pipe. For example, "poly-m-phenylene isophthalamide, trade name: Nomex of DuPont, USA (Registered trademark) ”. The reason why the small hole 1a of the aluminum pipe is closed is to prevent the rubber from entering the inner surface of the pipe when the rubber described later is foamed. Also this sea
The hole 3a is also provided in the girth 3 at a position different from the position where the small hole 1a is closed so as to improve the adhesion between the aluminum pipe and the rubber described later. An elastic layer 4 formed on the sheet 3 is preferably a closed-cell silicone rubber. After the silicone rubber 4 is provided on the aluminum pipe, it is foamed and the surface thereof is polished, and then a cut 5 is formed at a position corresponding to the small hole 1a of the aluminum pipe 1.
The closed-cell silicone rubber 4 is used because the oil inside the aluminum pipe swells when the oil 4 oozes into the rubber 4 and swells. Therefore, the outflow of oil is restricted when the roller is not used. This is because the breakage is distorted and the oil flows out only when the roller is used for rotation.
Similarly, the use of closed-cell silicone foam rubber has the advantage of preventing silicone oil from leaking from the side surface and preventing heat radiation. Reference numeral 6 is a second heat-resistant fiber of the uppermost layer which is wound around the silicone rubber 4 and attached with an adhesive, and is made of a material substantially similar to that of the first heat-resistant fiber 3, but the sheet described above. Unlike the shape, it is a felt-like one with a thickness for applying oil to the partner roller and for cleaning. The silicone oil 2 is put in the aluminum pipe 1 before the felt 6 is wound, as in the conventional oil application roller. The silicone oil 2 exuding from the small hole 1a of the aluminum pipe 1 is a sheet 3 and a silicone rubber 4
The felt 6 oozes out through the cut 5 to apply oil or clean the partner roller. In the figure, 7 is a flange.

As described above, according to the present invention, since the first and second heat resistant fibers and the elastic layer are used, the heat resistance and the cushioning property are improved, and not only the oil application function but also the clear property is improved. By improving the training function, the oil application roll
Of course, it can be used as a cleaning roller. In particular, when silicone foamed rubber and Nomex paper and Nomex felt are used, compared to the conventional products using paper, an excellent heat resistance of about 200 degrees can be obtained. Further, since the elastic layer is provided with the cut, the oil amount can be adjusted at the cut regardless of the size of the hole of the aluminum pipe, so that the oil can be stably supplied. In particular, if the closed-cell silicone rubber is used, the oil can be retained in the cell. Since it is in soft contact with the cleaner object, the nip width can be obtained.
