Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a product improved in the touch of a skin and having good cushioning properties by providing an air bag in a treatment chamber and expanding the same in the predetermined stage of foam molding to fill and close the treatment chamber. CONSTITUTION:A skin material 3 is set to a lower mold 1 and the terminal part 3a of the cover pad surface of the skin material 3 is grasped and fixed by the engaging jig 4 provided on the inner wall of the terminal treatment chamber 7 within the mold. Subsequently, air is supplied to the air bag 8 received in the treatment chamber 7 to expand the air bag. Next, an urethane foam resin raw material is injected to be scattered over the cover pad surface of the skin material 3 and the upper opening part of the mold 1 is closed by an upper mold 2. The air and generated gas in the upper part of the mold are discharged out of the mold from gas vent holes 2a. The gas vent holes 2a are also filled with the foamed resin and the foamed resin becomes foam 5 to be integrated with the skin material 3. The mold is closed and air is vented from the air bag 8 and the upper mold 2 is opened to take out the product in the mold 1.

<Prior art> After sewing a skin material made by laminating and adhering a skin material such as fabric and a cover pad such as slab urethane foam to a frame, the skin material is set on the mold surface in an open mold having a desired external shape, and the skin material is placed on the cover pad. A method of integrally molding a skin material and a urethane mold foam by mixing and injecting polyol and isocyanate in a high-pressure foaming machine and foaming and curing is well known.

Conventionally, as shown in FIG. 3, this molding device has been constructed by sewing a cover pad made of a fabric such as tel or knitted fabric and a soft resin foam such as slab urethane foam with a frame lamination bonded together. A locking device 6 such as a hook, clip, or wire is sewn to the end for assembling and fixing to the seat frame assembly after molding. During molding, the skin material is attached and fixed to the locking jig 4 provided along the outer wall of the mold in order to prevent problems such as misalignment of the sewing line and wrinkles of the skin using the locking tool 6 during molding. In addition, this mold has a urethane foam molding chamber 1a and an end 3a of the skin material 3.
It is composed of a lower mold 1 having a locking jig 4, and an upper mold 2 having a gas vent hole 2a and closing the upper opening of the lower mold 1, where 5 indicates a urethane foam. .

<Problems to be Solved by the Invention> In the above-mentioned molding apparatus using the conventional mold, the end of the skin material 3 is fixed to the outer wall of the lower mold with the end 3a of the skin material 3 protruding outside the mold. This prevents wrinkles and misalignment of the seam line, so the inside of the mold communicates with the outside air through the fibers of the skin material 3 and the fine gaps in the cover pad, and the foaming pressure of the urethane resin liquid during molding connects the inside of the molding chamber with the outside air. A pressure difference is generated between them, and the urethane resin liquid permeates and impregnates the seamed parts of the cover pad and the skin material 3, and in severe cases, it seeps out to the surface of the skin through the fine gaps in the seams and seamed parts, and foams and hardens. Therefore, in order to obtain the desired urethane foam density, much more urethane resin raw material must be injected than the required injection amount.

In addition, the resin liquid impregnated into the cover pad and the edges of the seamed skin material has a low foaming rate and forms a dense, hard resin layer, which not only impairs the texture but also significantly reduces cushioning properties. There are problems such as loss of marketability.

Effect〉 With the above device, during the foaming process, the skin material is completely sealed at the second joint between the lower mold and the upper mold, completely blocking communication between the inside of the mold and the outside air through the skin material. In addition, the space in the terminal processing chamber is filled with the expansion of the air pack, and the only way for air to flow out of the mold due to the foaming pressure is through the small scraper 6 at the top of the upper mold. This gas vent hole is also filled with the rise-up of the urethane foam resin, completely sealing the inside of the mold, preventing air from leaking out of the mold, and preventing the urethane a resin from leaking to the cover pad and seamed parts of the skin material due to the foaming pressure. Significantly reduces liquid impregnation and hardening and resin leakage from seams.

The present invention provides the above-mentioned mold, as shown in FIG.
First, the skin of the skin material 3 is set in the lower mold 1 so as to face the mold surface, and the end portion 3a of the skin material 3 is placed on the cover pad surface of the skin material 3 as shown in FIG. It is clamped and fixed by a locking jig 4 provided on the inner wall of the chamber 7. At this time, if necessary, a fibrous sheet such as coarse felt 20 or nonwoven fabric may be attached to the molding surface of the upper mold, and the foamed resin raw material 5a may be filled therein.

Next, air is supplied to an air bag 8 (not shown in FIG. 2) loaded in the processing chamber 7 to inflate it. This inflated airbag 8 fills up the processing chamber 7,
The inflow of air into the terminal processing chamber 7 due to the foaming pressure of the urethane resin during molding is minimized.

Next, the urethane foam resin raw material 5a having a liquid temperature of 25° C. is injected and dispersed onto the cover pad surface of the skin material 3, and the upper opening of the lower mold 1 is immediately closed with the upper mold 2. As a result, the inside of the mold and the outside air are completely shut off at the first and second mating parts 10a and 10b between the lower mold 1 and the upper mold 2, except for the gas vent hole 2a.

Over time, the urethane foam resin raw material 5a progresses to three colors, and as the foam resin rises, air in the upper part of the mold and generated gas are discharged to the outside of the mold through the gas vent hole 2a.
is filled with foamed resin, foamed as required, and becomes a hardened foam 5 which is integrated with the skin material 3. Then, several minutes after closing the mold, the air in the air bag 8 is released, the upper mold 2 is opened, and the product in the lower mold 1 is taken out.

The molded product has no leakage of foamed resin from the seams or seams, and after the urethane resin has completely hardened, the outer skin is crimped with your fingers.
As a result of examining the hardness, it was found that the seams and other parts had no particular hardness and had a good feel. Further, the molded product was cut and the thickness of the resin-impregnated layer of the cover pad was measured, and the result was 0.5 to 0.8 m+, and the apparent density of the urethane foam was 51 mm/cm'. Similarly, when the seamed parts of foam molded products using the conventional open mold were pressed by hand, they felt abnormally hard, and the thickness of the resin-impregnated layer of the cover pad on the cross section of the molded product was 2.0 to 3.5 mm. The apparent density of the urethane foam was 45 kg/cm'.

<Effects of the Invention> As described above, the apparatus of the present invention has a first mating part with the upper mold at the skin end portion in the lower mold having the urethane foam molding chamber, and an outer side of the skin material end fixing jig of the lower mold. A treatment chamber for the end of the skin material is provided between the second joint part and the first joint part, and an air bag for supplying and discharging air from the outside is installed in this treatment chamber, so that foam molding can be carried out. Since the airbag is inflated to form a band that fills the space inside the processing chamber in the previous process, the workability of attaching the skin material to the mold does not deteriorate, and the skin material is not exposed to the outside of the mold in the foaming process. In addition, the terminal processing chamber space is filled with the expansion of the airbag, and the communication between the inside of the mold and the outside air is completely ensured by sealing the 1st and 2nd joint parts of the lower mold and upper mold. This prevents air from flowing outside the mold or into the processing chamber due to foaming pressure, and significantly reduces the impregnation of resin liquid into the cover pad and seams.
