The inventors of the present invention have observed the occurrence of wrinkles and have found that when copying in a high humidity environment, if unsealed sheets or sheets of paper that have been copied several times are left in a stack, all but the top few sheets will be exposed to heat. It has been confirmed that wrinkles occur at the trailing edge of paper in the roll-type image fixing unit. Furthermore, when we investigated the occurrence of wrinkles in the fixing section, we found that the moisture content of the paper in which wrinkles occur is 2 to 3% higher in the periphery than in the center, and as a result, the dimensions of the periphery are longer than in the center. It was confirmed that the periphery had undulations, and that the larger the undulations, the more wrinkles would occur. This is because the central part of the paper escapes from the roll nip section first by the heat roll, and both ends remain, causing the paper to bulge in the central part, fold, and get caught in the nip part. Furthermore, it has been confirmed that paper jams occur when the curl after copying that occurs in the fixing section is large.

Moisture content of the product immediately after opening (hereinafter referred to as product moisture)
If the product moisture is high, the curl will be small but the curl after copying will be large in a high humidity environment, and if the product moisture is low, the curl will be small after copying but the curl will be large, thus making it difficult to have proper product moisture. confirmed to be important.

Furthermore, the waviness of paper in a high-humidity environment is greatly influenced by the equilibrium moisture content in that environment. Conventional recycled paper with a high mechanical pulp specific gravity easily absorbs moisture and has a high equilibrium moisture content, so even if the paper initially has an appropriate product moisture content when opened, the difference in moisture content between the peripheral and central areas gradually increases, resulting in a large Due to the waving, many wrinkles occur. Chemical pulp (
CP), even if the product moisture is appropriate, the difference in moisture between the periphery and center of the paper is small, resulting in less waviness.
It was confirmed that there were fewer wrinkles. Experiments have confirmed that when the total ratio of virgin pulp and waste paper pulp in the total pulp reaches 70% or more, the occurrence of wrinkles decreases rapidly.

In addition, conventional recycled paper has a high proportion of mechanical pulp in the total pulp, which easily absorbs moisture, and has a high equilibrium moisture content, so the product moisture is usually high, causing unstable curling and paper jams. . On the other hand, recycled paper with a high CP ratio, which is the electrophotographic transfer paper of the present invention, has a low equilibrium moisture content, so it is possible to stably secure an appropriate moisture content in the product, which prevents curling.
This stabilizes paper jams and reduces paper jams.

The waste paper pulp used in the present invention is made by disassociating unprinted waste paper such as blank paper, special white paper, middle white paper, self-damage paper, etc., which are scraps, waste paper, and waste paper with reduced width that occur in bookbinding, printing factories, cutting shops, etc. Used waste paper pulp, high quality paper, high quality coated paper, medium quality paper, medium quality coated paper, recycled paper, etc. can be used for lithography, letterpress, intaglio printing, electrophotographic method, thermal method, thermal transfer method, pressure sensitive recording method, etc. All can be used, such as waste paper printed with inkjet recording method, carbon paper, etc., and waste paper written with water-based or oil-based ink, pencil, etc., and pulp (hereinafter abbreviated as DIP) obtained by disintegrating and deinking paper. In addition, if you want to increase the content of waste paper pulp in the transfer paper and make the CP 70% or more, you can increase the content of waste paper pulp that is obtained by disintegrating or deinking waste paper that contains a large amount of chemical pulp among the waste papers mentioned above. .

Example 5 As shown in Example 5 in Table 1, as CP, imitation waste paper D such as high quality paper, high quality coated paper, offset printed matter, thermal paper, etc.
A mixture of 20% IP, 50% virgin LBKP, and 3% CP content in used newspaper DIP, for a total of 73%, and as pulp other than CP, pulp other than CP in used newspaper DIP is 27%.
%, fillers and internal sizing agents as shown in Table 1 were blended, and paper was made so that the product moisture content was 4.5%. Furthermore, in order to impart suitability for indirect electrophotography, starch was reduced to Ig/rrr and sodium chloride 0.2 by size press treatment.
The electrophotographic transfer paper of the present invention was obtained by coating to give a ratio of g/a. The equilibrium moisture content of this transfer paper at 20° C. and 65% RH was 81%. This transfer paper was checked for wrinkles and the number of paper jams after copying in the same manner as in Example 1. The results are shown in Table 1.

Since the electrophotographic transfer paper of the present invention has the above-mentioned structure, it can withstand harsh copying using an indirect electrophotographic hard copy device in a high humidity environment, which is impossible to use with conventional recycled paper containing waste paper pulp. It can be applied to operations, and in particular, it reduces waviness, stabilizes curling, and improves problems such as wrinkles and paper jams.
