However, there are information-related video devices (for example, devices installed in cars to guide people to their destinations) that use film without perforation, and the film may be stopped at the correct position and projected onto the screen. In such cases, light from a light source is passed through an optical means, that is, a slit for vertical position detection provided in the film, and this light is received by an optical sensor via an optical fiber to detect the stop position of the film. However, if the intensity of the light source changes or the film density varies due to changes over time, position detection cannot be performed accurately, resulting in errors.

In the stop position detection device for a film, the slits for vertical position detection are arranged in parallel on the top and bottom of the film, and the optical fibers are arranged such that their tip surfaces are respectively hung on the slits. When the top of the tip of the optical fiber on the top hangs over the slit on the top, the bottom of the tip of the optical fiber on the bottom hangs on the slit on the bottom, and the top of the optical fiber on the top hangs on the slit on the top. When the lower part of the tip surface of the optical fiber hangs, the upper part of the tip surface of the lower optical fiber hangs on the lower slit, and the ratio of the slit to the tip surface of the upper and lower optical fibers is made equal. The gist is the means.

Reference numerals 2 and 3 denote optical fibers, which are disposed with their tip surfaces 2a and 3a facing the slits 1b and 1c of the film 1, respectively, and a light source 4.
It receives the transmitted light from the mirror and guides the light to optical sensors 5 and 6 provided facing the other end surface. As shown in FIG. 3, the top half of the tip surface 2a of the optical fiber 2 has a slit
In b, the tip end surface 3a of the optical fiber 3 is positioned so that the lower half thereof is hooked onto the slit 1c. Amplifiers 7 and 8 are connected to the optical sensors 5 and 6, respectively, and are configured to amplify the electrical signals input from the optical sensors 5 and 6 and input them to the differential amplifier 9, respectively. Differential amplifier 9
outputs the input difference from the amplifiers 7 and 8, and this output can be read as numerical data by the A/D converter 10.

A change occurs in the ratio occupied by the slits 1b and 1c, and the amount of light introduced into the optical fibers 2 and 3 changes respectively. That is, film 1
shifts upward, the tip surface 2a of the optical fiber 2
The area occupied by the slit 1b is less than 50% and the amount of light received decreases, while the area occupied by the slit 1c at the tip surface 3a of the optical fiber 3 is 50% or less.
% or more, the amount of light received increases. Since the difference in the amount of light received can ultimately be read as numerical data, the positional shift of the film 1 can be detected accurately. Note that it is convenient to use the same optical fibers 2 and 3.

Even if the film misalignment occurs, the film position shift can be detected accurately.
Its practical effect is remarkable.
