Abstract

PURPOSE:To seal the module by filling and bonding by carrying out the filling and bonding process in two stages and injecting a filling adhesive in the amt. necessary for sealing at the first stage. CONSTITUTION:A filling adhesive is injected in two stages, the filling adhesive 3A is injected in the amt. necessary for sealing into a cylinder 1 at the first stage and moved to the end of a hollow fiber by centrifugal force to seal 5 the end, and a specified amt. of a filling adhesive 3B is injected into the fixing bonding part 4 of the cylinder 1 at the second stage to fix the hollow-fiber bundle 2. After the filling adhesive 3A for sealing is cured, the filling adhesive 3B is injected. Since the ends of the hollow-fiber bundle 2 has been sealed 5 in this injection stage, the adhesive 3B is not infiltrated into the opening of the hollow fiber. The sealed part 5 is then cut off to complete a hollow-fiber membrane module.

(Prior Art) A conventional hollow fiber membrane module of this type has a large number of hollow fibers 1 in a cylindrical case 101, as shown in FIG.
A hollow fiber membrane 102 formed by bundling 02A is inserted, and both ends of the hollow fiber membrane 102 are fixed with a filling adhesive 103. The liquid is then filtered through the hollow fiber membrane 102, and the filtrate flows out from the end face of the hollow fiber membrane 102. In order for this hollow fiber membrane module to function properly, an opening 104 is required at each end of the hollow fiber 102A of the hollow fiber membrane 102, as shown in FIG.

For this purpose, conventionally, as shown in FIGS. 8 to 1o, a bundle of multiple hollow fibers 102A is inserted into a cylinder 101, both ends are cut, and then adhesive is applied to the end surface of the hollow fiber membrane 102. After sealing 105 and drying and solidifying as shown in FIG. 11, a filling adhesive 103 for fixing is injected into the membrane module manufacturing apparatus 107 as shown in FIG. The opening 104 of each hollow fiber 102A was secured by filling the fixing portion with the filler and finally cutting the filler 105 along the A-A plane as shown in FIG.

(Problem to be Solved by the Invention) However, in the case of the above-mentioned prior art, a different type of adhesive is used to seal the filler 105 before filling the filler adhesive 103.
This sealing work was a factor that hindered productivity improvement.

In other words, the adhesive for sealing 105 must have a high viscosity so that it does not enter the opening 104 of hollow fiber 102A due to capillary action, whereas the adhesive 103 for filling and fixing must have a high viscosity. If the viscosity is too high, the adhesive 103 will not enter between the hollow fibers 101A, resulting in poor adhesion, so it is necessary to use one with a low viscosity.

(Means for Solving the Problem) In order to achieve the above object, in the present invention, a large number of hollow fiber bundles are inserted into a cylinder, and the opening of the inserted hollow fiber end is sealed. Then, a filling adhesive is injected into the cylinder, and the filling adhesive is moved to the open end of the cylinder by centrifugal force, so that the periphery of the cylinder and the spaces between each hollow fiber and each hollow fiber are sealed in a sealed state. In a method for manufacturing a hollow fiber membrane module in which the filling adhesive is filled and solidified and the sealing portion is removed after solidification, the filling adhesive injection step using centrifugal force is divided into two stages, and the filling adhesive for the sealing portion is removed in the first step. It is injected into the cylindrical body and moved to the hollow fiber end side by centrifugal force to perform sealing, and in the second step, a specified amount of filling adhesive is injected into the cylindrical body to fill and solidify at the open end of the cylindrical body. (Function) In the method for manufacturing the hollow fiber membrane module with the above configuration,
The sealing work is performed using the same adhesive as the filling adhesive, and in the first step, a small amount of filling adhesive equivalent to the sealing amount is injected to fix the end opening of each hollow fiber. Although the filling adhesive has a low viscosity, only the filling amount is injected, and since centrifugal force is applied, the amount that enters the opening of each hollow fiber can be controlled.

First, as shown in FIG. 1, a large number of hollow fibers 2A are bundled and inserted into the cylindrical body 1. The hollow fibers 2A are straight and longer than the length of the cylinder 1, and both ends thereof protrude from both ends of the opening of the cylinder 1.

That is, in the first stage, as shown in FIG. 4, a small amount of filling adhesive 3A is injected in the amount necessary for sealing, and as this filling adhesive 3A solidifies, each end of the hollow fiber bundle 2 is injected. The openings of the hollow fibers are sealed 5. Although the viscosity of the filling adhesive 3A is low, the amount injected is limited to the amount necessary for the seal 5, and since centrifugal force is acting, it does not penetrate deep into the opening of the hollow fiber 2A. do not have.

(Effects of the Invention) The present invention has the above-described structure and operation, and the filling and adhesion process is performed in two stages, and in the first step, the filling adhesive is injected in the required amount for sealing. Because of this structure, the sealing process, which was conventionally a process outside the filling and bonding process, can be incorporated into the filling and bonding process, and the same adhesive can be used for filling and sealing, which was the conventional tool. It is possible to improve productivity.
