(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, since this adhesive generates a large amount of self-heating during curing, when used in large quantities, temperature distribution occurs, resulting in uneven curing. At this time, strain will be accumulated inside the cured adhesive. In addition, epoxy adhesives have a relatively large shrinkage rate when cured,
In addition, when making a large diameter hollow fiber module,
Since a large amount of adhesive is used, the internal distortion becomes large, causing problems such as peeling of the adhesive from the case edge or cracks at the interface between the hollow fiber end and the adhesive, which can cause module leaks. It was hot.

In order to solve this problem, a similar annular body is used, an O-ring is fitted into this annular body, and the O-ring is connected to the case without adhesive. A method has been proposed for making a seal. However, in this system, the vicinity of the O-ring becomes a liquid retention area, and since the hollow fiber module is often used especially for sterilization, problems such as bacterial growth are not solved.

Furthermore, if a large amount of adhesive is used, it will take a long time to cure the adhesive in order to suppress the temperature rise and temperature distribution during curing, which will also affect productivity.

(Structure of the Invention) That is, the present invention provides a method for filling a cylindrical case with a hollow fiber bundle and sealing the ends of the hollow fiber bundle and the case and between the ends of the hollow fibers with an adhesive. In a method for manufacturing a hollow fiber module, a ring-shaped body having an outer diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the case is fitted into the end of the case, and the end of the hollow fiber bundle is inserted into the ring-shaped body. A method for manufacturing a hollow fiber module, characterized in that the parts between the part and the annular body, the annular body and the end of the case, and the ends of the hollow fiber bundle are sealed with an adhesive. .

In this way, the space that would normally be filled with adhesive will be occupied by an annular ring with a certain volume that has already been strained, just like hardened adhesive.
As a result, the amount of adhesive injected in the bonding process, particularly the amount of adhesive injected into the outer periphery of the hollow fiber bundle, can be reduced. Therefore, the strain that inevitably accumulates inside the cured adhesive is reduced, and the above-mentioned problems are solved.

On the other hand, the inner diameter of the annular body depends on the thickness of the hollow fiber bundle to be filled, but usually about 90% of the outer diameter is appropriate. The length of the annular ring is preferably slightly shorter than the adhesive sealing portion, and is usually 10 to 50 mm, preferably 20 to 30 mm.

A fiber bundle consisting of 6,400 polyethersulfone hollow fibers with an inner diameter of 500 μm and an outer diameter of 700 μm was inserted through the annular body, and this was set in a centrifugal sealing machine to seal the epoxy resin at a temperature of 55 degrees and a rotation speed of 1000 γpm. Centrifugal sealing was performed using adhesive so that the adhesive length on one side was 25 mm.
