When injection molding is performed using synthetic resin, injection molded products (workpieces) with rather complex inner surfaces are often injection molded using a mold having a core mold. This core mold is fitted into a hole formed in the outer mold so as to be movable back and forth, and moves forward during molding and protrudes from the surface of the outer mold, and retreats and retracts from the surface of the outer mold during demolding. Therefore, a clearance is required between the surface of the core mold and the hole of the outer mold into which the core mold is fitted.
A small gap exists, but as the mold is used, it wears out and this gap becomes larger. Therefore, the synthetic resin melted during molding enters this gap and solidifies, resulting in burrs. For this reason, deburring work is required in the post-process, which makes the work complicated and reduces productivity, resulting in the problem that the mold must be discarded after being used for a relatively short period of time.

Therefore, although injection molding is performed using a mold with a core, this invention eliminates the need for deburring in the post-process, significantly improving productivity and extending the life of the mold. The purpose of this invention is to provide a mold structure for synthetic resin injection molding.

The configuration of the present invention is a structure of a mold having a core mold that is fitted into an outer mold so as to be movable back and forth and molds the inner surface of the workpiece. It is characterized by a headband-shaped recess formed on the surface of the mold at a position slightly on the back side from the outer mold surface.

In other words, when a mold is used, the sliding parts wear out and the gap between the surface of the core mold and the hole in the outer mold into which the core mold is inserted expands, and the synthetic resin molten during molding fills this gap. However, since there is a headband-shaped recess formed at a position slightly deeper than the outer mold surface, it penetrates into this recess and solidifies into a lump.
Then, when the core mold is retreated from the outer mold during die cutting, the synthetic resin solidified in the recess moves together with the core mold and separates from the workpiece, so that burrs are cut between the workpiece and the synthetic resin solidified in the recess. Therefore, if a recess is formed at a distance of, for example, 0.1 mm from the surface of the outer mold, the length of the cut burr will be extremely short.
Therefore, the result is the same as if the deburring work was performed naturally during die cutting, and the deburring work in the post-process is no longer necessary, resulting in a marked improvement in productivity. Furthermore, the mold can be used even if the gap between the surface of the core mold and the hole of the outer mold into which the core mold is fitted increases, so the life of the mold is significantly extended.

Although the drawing shows a mold whose sliding parts have been worn out due to long-term use, the outer mold is composed of a fixed outer mold 1 and a movable outer mold 2, and molds the outer surface of the workpiece W. A core mold 3 for molding the inner surface of the workpiece W is fitted into a hole formed in the movable outer mold 2, and is movable back and forth with respect to the movable outer mold 2. During molding, the core mold 3 is moving forward, and as shown in FIG. 1, the space defined by the fixed outer mold 1, the movable outer mold 2, and the core mold 3 is the cavity 5. and,
On the surface of the core mold 3, when the core mold 3 is in the forward position, a recess 4 is formed in a headband shape around the entire circumference at a position about 0.1 mm deep from the surface 2a of the movable outer mold 2. ing.

Then, molten synthetic resin is injected into the cavity 5 through a gate (not shown). At this time, a part of the molten synthetic resin enters the recess 4 through the gap between the surface of the core mold 3 and the hole formed in the movable outer mold 2, and solidifies. When the solidification is completed, the mold is opened, and the workpiece W is thereby removed from the fixed outer mold 1. Then, the core mold 3 is retreated from the movable outer mold 2, but the synthetic resin solidified in the recess 4 moves together with the core mold 3.
As shown in FIG. 3, the workpiece W can be cut. At this time, since the distance from the surface 2a of the movable outer mold 2 to the recess 4 is approximately 0.1 mm, the length of the cut burr is extremely short, and no deburring work is required in the subsequent process, which improves productivity. improves.

Note that it is not necessary to remove the synthetic resin solidified in the recess 4 before the next injection molding. This is because the molten synthetic resin that enters the recess 4 during the next injection molding comes into contact with the already solidified synthetic resin and welds it, but when the core mold 3 is moved back, it is cut again at this part. be.

As explained above, in this invention, a recess is formed in a headband shape on the surface of the core mold at a position slightly on the back side from the outer mold surface, so it is equivalent to the natural deburring work performed during mold cutting. As a result, even though injection molding is performed using a mold with a core mold that has been used for a long time, deburring work in the post-process is no longer necessary, significantly increasing productivity and reducing the lifespan of the mold. It can be a long synthetic resin injection mold structure.
