Abstract

PURPOSE:To cut and remove the cover of a cable without damaging the core of a cable by a cable cover stripper equipped with a plurality of edge facing each other and capable of coming close to or separating from each other. CONSTITUTION:This cable cover stripper 11 is equipped with two pieces of upper an lower edges 15, four pieces of upper and lower guides for positioning a cable 12, and suction port 17 for sucking the cover 13 of the cable 12 cut and removed. Each edge 15 consists of two pieces of edges 18 capable of contacting with or separating from each other in axial direction of the cable 12, severally. After the upper and lower edges 15 join each other and cut in the cover 13, two pieces of edge members 18 constituting the edge 15 separate from each other in axial direction to remove the cover 13. In this while, there is no necessity to catch the cable 12 firmly, and besides the part close to the cut end of the cover of the cable never elongates, so it never damages the core 14 of the cable 12 and the cover 13, and it can cut and remove the cover finely.

FIG. 9 is a diagram schematically showing the operation of the blade of a conventional cable sheath stripping device (FIGS. 9(a) to 9(a)).
As shown in (c) is a longitudinal sectional view and (d) is a front view), the conventional cable sheath stripping device 1 includes an upper blade part 2 and a lower blade part 3 that can face each other and move toward and away from each other. The cable 4 is provided with a grip portion 5 that grips the cable 4 at a predetermined position.

When removing the sheathing 6 from the end of the cable 4, the upper blade part 2 and the lower blade part 3 first approach each other and join each other while cutting into the sheathing 6 of the cable 4. In this case, each blade 8 of the upper blade part 2 and the lower blade part 3 is formed in a shape so as not to damage the core wire of the cable 4 during joining. Next, the sheathing 6 of the cable 4 is bonded to each other.
The upper blade part 2 and the lower blade part 3 that have been inserted into the cable move in the axial direction of the cable 4 while remaining in the joined state, and remove the cut coating 6.

In the cable sheath stripping device 1 as described above, in order to avoid damaging the core wire 7 of the cable when cutting the sheath 6 of the cable 4, the sheath 6 is not completely cut off. The coating 6 is cut so that a portion of the coating 6 remains on the outer periphery of the coating 7.

When the coating 6 is removed, a portion of the coating 6 remaining uncut on the outer periphery of the core wire 7 is torn off in the direction of removal. Therefore, the cut surface 9 of the coating 6
Since the neighboring portion 6a of is stretched in the removal direction,
It was not possible to cleanly cut and remove the coating 6. Furthermore, in order to support the force that would tear off part of the coating 6, the cable 4 had to be strongly gripped by the gripping portion 5. If you grip the cable 4 too tightly, you may damage the outer peripheral surface of the sheath 6, and if the core wire 7 is an optical fiber,
The gripping force may cause stress in the optical fiber, reducing the light transmittance, or if the core wire 7 is an electric cable.
There were problems such as a decrease in the withstand voltage.

[Function] As described above, the cable sheath stripping device according to the present invention has a plurality of blade parts each consisting of a first blade member and a second blade member, and after cutting the cable sheath, each The first blade member and the second blade member of the blade portion are spaced apart from each other in the axial direction of the cable to remove the cut coating. A first blade member or a second blade member is attached to the cut surface of the cable.
Since the blade members are in contact with each other, the coating near the cut surface does not extend in the axial direction of the cable. In addition, the axial force applied to the cable in order to tear off the coating remaining on the outer periphery of the core wire is applied to the first blade member or the second blade member that comes into contact with the cutting surface.
Since the cable is supported by the blade member, there is no need to grip the cable strongly.

First, the cable sheath stripping device 11 has upper and lower blade portions 15 and upper and lower guides 1 in the initial position shown in FIG.
6 and suction port 17 are respectively arranged by moving means (not shown). Then, the cables 12 (three cables in this embodiment) are sent out to a predetermined position shown in FIG. 1 by a feeding means (not shown). When the cable 12 is sent out to a predetermined position, the upper and lower blade portions 15 and the guide 16 are moved by a moving means (not shown) so as to sandwich the cable 12 between them. The upper and lower guides 16 sandwich the cable 12 between each other to position the cable 12, and
The upper and lower blade portions 15 enter the sheath 13 of the cable 12.

Next, as shown in FIG. 3, when the suction port 17 moves to a position where it comes into contact with the right guide 16, the right blade member 18 of the two blade members 18 that make up the upper and lower blade parts 15 is removed. is separated from the blade member on the left side and moves to the right together with the guide 16 and suction port 17 on the right side, and the sheath 13 of the cable 12 is removed from the core wire. At this time, the cable 12 is pulled to the right because a portion of the sheathing 13 remaining uncut on the outer periphery of the core wire 14 is torn off, but the left blade member 18 hits the cut end of the sheathing 13. Since they are in contact with each other, the cable 12 will not move to the right. Therefore, there is no need to strongly hold the cable 12.

Effects of the Invention As described above, the cable sheath stripping device according to the present invention has a plurality of blades that can approach and separate from each other and that cut into and remove the sheath of the cable end at a predetermined cutting position. Each of the blade parts includes a first blade member and a second blade member that can be moved toward and away from each other in the axial direction of the cable. Since the first blade member and the second blade member remove the sheath of the cut cable at a distance from each other in the axial direction of the cable, unlike the conventional device,
There is no need to strongly hold the cable, and the portion of the cable sheath near the cut end does not stretch. Therefore, it is possible to cleanly cut and remove the cable sheath without damaging the cable core or the sheath.
