Abstract

PURPOSE:To unnecessitate the straightening process for relieving the strain occured in a plate at the time of welding a stiffener, and to improve the productivity in a series of work production lines, in the welding method of a work with a stiffener. CONSTITUTION:On the upper face of a curved surface plate 6 whose radius of curvature is freely adjustable, a plate 3 on which each stiffener 4 is arranged is placed, and all, deformed along the curved surface of the surface plate 6 and fixed forcibly by a holding device 8, and the plate 3 is set to a curved state that its center part, and both end parts in the direction vertical to the longitudinal direction of the stiffener 4 are deformed in the upper face side direction, and the lower face side direction, respectively. In such a state, while giving a reverse distortion to a welding distortion to the plate 3 by the surface plate 6, a welding work of a multi-electrode automatic fillet welding machine 5 using a flux cored welding wire is executed a gas shielded arc, and welding of the plate 3 and stiffener 4, and distortion straightening of the plate are executed by the same process.

[Prior Art] Workpieces with stiffeners often used in ships, bridges, etc., i.e., welding units (blocks) of welded structures that combine stiffeners, which are multiple stiffeners parallel to a flat plate, are used for assembly and welding. As shown in FIG. 6, a method of welding a flat plate 21 and a stiffener 22 using a multi-electrode automatic fillet welding machine 20 has been generally known.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, in this conventional welding method, as shown in FIG.
Since welding deformation occurs, it is necessary to correct the shape (remove distortion) by plastic working. Therefore, the straightening work in the large press 23 as shown in FIG. 8 is divided into a separate workshop from the welding process, and the straightening work is provided as a dedicated process.

[0004] This straightening process generally takes more time than the welding process. Therefore, in a series of workpiece production lines, this straightening process for removing distortion often becomes an obstacle, impeding workpiece productivity.

[0005] This invention was devised in view of the above-mentioned circumstances, and its purpose is to eliminate the straightening process for removing distortions that occur in flat plates during welding of stiffeners, thereby increasing productivity in a series of workpiece production lines. An object of the present invention is to provide a method for welding a workpiece with a stiffener, which can improve the performance.

[Means for Solving the Problems] According to the present invention, a stiffener can be welded to a flat plate serving as a workpiece with a radius of curvature of 8 to 15 mm.
Welding is performed using a multi-electrode automatic fillet welder while applying reverse strain to the flat plate using a surface plate with an arcuate camber.

Furthermore, the setting of the radius of curvature of the surface plate, that is, the setting of the appropriate radius of curvature that provides a reverse strain that makes the welding deformation of the flat plate completely zero after welding is completed, is necessary when the thickness of the flat plate is 6 to 3.
0 mm, and when the leg length of fillet welding is in the range of 4 to 8 mm, it is 11 m in covered arc welding and 13 m in carbon dioxide arc welding. In this way, the applicant has confirmed that the radius of curvature that takes up the distortion that occurs in the flat plate during welding is constant for each welding method, regardless of the plate thickness of the flat plate and the leg length of fillet welding. .

Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 1, when the welding machine uses conventional covered arc welding and carbon dioxide gas arc welding using a solid wire, the stiffener 4 is tilted because the flat plate 3 is made into an arc shape. As a result, the weld bead sagged and did not exhibit a normal fillet shape. However, recently, it has become possible to perform correct welding even in inclined conditions when using flux-cored welding wire for shielded gas arc welding, such as carbon dioxide arc welding, so a welding machine that uses this flux-cored wire is used.

[0009] Based on the above, it is possible to perform the welding work of the flat plate and the stiffener and the correction work to remove the distortion of the flat plate that occurs during this welding work in the same process, thereby increasing the productivity in the workpiece production line. This is something that can be improved.
