【特許請求の範囲】[Claims] 【請求項1】  画像形成部でシートの片面に画像を形
成した後、そのシートを再び前記画像形成部に供給して
シートの裏面に画像を形成する両面画像形成装置におい
て、前記画像形成部で片面に画像を形成されたシートを
収容する収容手段と、前記収容手段上のシートを送り出
す送り出し手段と、前記収容手段からのシートを前記画
像形成部に向けて送る搬送経路と、前記収容手段より下
流の前記搬送経路上に設けられた給送手段と、前記画像
形成部から連続して搬入される片面形成済みのシートの
うち最初の所定枚数のシートを前記収容手段へ搬入した
後次のシートを搬入する前に前記送り出し手段を駆動し
て前記搬送経路に待機させ、前記所定枚数以降のシート
を前記収容手段に一旦積載収容し、再給紙時に前記搬送
経路に待機中のシートから給送する制御手段とを備えて
なることを特徴とする両面画像形成装置。

時には前記搬送経路に待機中のシートから給送する制御
手段とを備えてなることを特徴とする両面画像形成装置
