Abstract

PURPOSE:To freely control very small change to improve operativity by controlling an object to be controlled by means of proportional or logarithmic control signals with respect to a shift amount of an input device. CONSTITUTION:An encoder device 1 converts a rotation shift amount by a control dial 2 into a shift amount input pulse signal (a) and outputs to a proportional conversion circuit 4 or a logarithmic conversion circuit 5. The proportional conversion circuit 4 outputs a control signal (b) which is proportional to the shift amount indicated by the signal (a), while the logarithmic conversion circuit 5 outputs a control signal (c) which is proportional to a logarithmic value of the signal (a). Either signal (b) or (c) is selected by a changeover switch 8 by means of a changeover switch 7 on a control panel 6, and an object 3 to be controlled is controlled by the selected output (d). Thus very small change can be freely controlled by switching over to the circuit 4 in a part where a control amount which the circuit 5 cannot easily shift by a small amount is large.
