。即ち、画像形成装置のタイプによって異るが一般に前
記通常制御温度範囲は例えば160℃±2℃に設定され
前記ヒータの電源をONしてから該通常制御温度範囲の
中央温度(160℃)まで立上げるには5〜7分のウォ
ーミングアップ時間を要していた。さらにこの通常制御
温度範囲は狭くウォーミングアップ終了温度の160℃
に達して前記ヒータの電源が切られても予熱で前記定着
ローラの表面温度が上昇するような材質のローラを使用
した場合には、前記通常制御温度範囲の上限温度を越え
るいわゆるオーバーシュートを起すのを防ぐために前記
下限温度のかなり手前からゆっくりと温度を上昇させる
ようにしているので前述したようなウォーミングアップ
時間がかゝりユーザにとってこの待ち時間は大変煩わし
いものである。
