Recently, there has been a strong trend among banks to handle banknotes without touching them by bank employees as much as possible. This is because when cash is passed from one bank employee to another, the recipient must count the bills each time, which is time-consuming and prone to errors.

The purpose of the present invention is to have a bank employee identify the returned banknotes, compulsorily store them in the deposit machine, and record the denomination and number of bills in the teller deposit machine for genuine bills that are ultimately returned as unidentifiable bills by the deposit machine. The purpose of this invention is to solve the drawbacks of the conventional technology by inputting information.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention has a bank staff check the authenticity, denomination, etc. of unrecognizable bills that are finally returned, and then stop the function of the bill discriminating section of the deposit machine. By forcing the banknotes into the deposit machine and inputting the denomination and number of banknotes into the counter deposit machine using an input device such as a keyboard,
For genuine notes, regardless of whether they are damaged or not, the device manages all information such as the total transaction amount, denomination, and number of notes at the time.

Inserting banknotes in bulk into the deposit machine 1, and if the deposit machine 1 determines that the bills are genuine, the denomination and number of bills are stored in the storage means 3.
8, and if some of the inserted banknotes are returned from the deposit machine 1 as unidentifiable after a predetermined number of determinations,
A bank employee determines the authenticity of the bill, confirms the denomination and number of genuine bills, and inputs the denomination and number of bills into the device using the key switches 6 and 7 of the input device 5. 8 to stop the discrimination function of the deposit machine 1, the unidentifiable returned banknotes are forcibly accommodated in the unfit note storage box 21 of the deposit machine 1, and the number of bills is stored in the storage means 38 by detection by the detection means 36a. When the data from the key switches 6 and 7 by the bank employee and the two data from the detection means 36a match in the storage means 38, it is determined by the signal from the control unit 39 that the deposit processing is completed;
The total of the counting results of banknotes deposited as determined by the deposit machine 1 and the counting results of banknotes forcibly stored as unidentifiable is read out from the storage means 38 and the display terminal device 1
0, and in response to a signal indicating the completion of deposit processing from the control section 39, the key switch 9 of the input device 5 is pressed to restore the discrimination function of the deposit machine 1 and prepare for the next deposit.

As explained above in detail, in the present invention, even if the banknotes deposited in bulk into the deposit machine are returned as unidentifiable after a predetermined number of checks, the bank staff will authenticate the banknotes to determine whether they are genuine or not. By disabling the discriminating function of the deposit machine, the recognized banknotes are forcibly stored in the unfit bill storage box of the deposit machine, and the denomination and number of the bills are input into the machine, so that the banknotes are genuine. Despite this, even banknotes that are extremely dirty, extremely wrinkled, or have a significant area missing can be deposited into the deposit machine, and all transactions are managed primarily by the device. This eliminates the need for manual work by bank employees, which has the effect of saving labor in bill counting work and preventing mistakes in the work. In addition, since all banknotes received from customers are stored in the deposit machine, there is an effect of security in terms of crime prevention.

[Scope of Claims] 1. A depositing machine equipped with a discriminating section that determines the authenticity, denomination, and damage of banknotes.The discriminating section discriminates the bills that are inserted into the depositing machine in bulk, and the determined bills are stored in the depositing machine. In the teller deposit device that stores unrecognized banknotes and returns unidentifiable banknotes, an input means is provided for inputting the denomination and number of banknotes and a temporary stop of the recognition function of the recognition unit, and when unidentifiable banknotes are discharged, the input means is provided. An over-the-counter deposit characterized by temporarily stopping the discrimination function of the discrimination section and forcibly storing the illegible banknotes in a deposit machine based on the input of the denomination, number of bills, and temporary suspension of the discrimination function of the indistinguishable banknotes by the means.
