Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 ［産業上の利用分野］ 本発明は原稿シートの搬送路並びに記録シートの搬送路
を共用して小型化した７アクシミソ装置に関する。
［従来の技術］ 近時、ファクシミリ装置は電子事務機の分野において重
要な位置をしめるようになり、小型化及びコストダウン
化か要求されている。
従来のファクシミリ装置は原稿シート１の搬送路２並び
に記録シート３の搬送路４か第１０図に示すように形成
されている。
原稿シート１の搬送路２に矢印Ｍ方向から原稿シートｌ
か挿入され、検知センサＳ、か原稿シート１を検知する
と、駆動ローラ５，６゜７か従動ローラ５、．７　、と
ともに矢印方向に回転する。原稿シート１の先端かレジ
ストセンサＳ２の位置まて搬送され、センサＳ２により
検知されると、原稿シート１の先端か読み取りセンサＲ
の読み取り位置に到達する所定時間後に読み取りセンサ
Ｒの駆動回路か作動し、読み取り動作を開始する。読み
取りセンサＲによる読み取りか終了すると、原稿シート
１は搬送ローラ７．７．によって排出される。
原稿シートｌの読み取りが終了して送信か完了すると、
通常、通信結果レポートを出力する。この通信結果レポ
ートとは通信相手先電話番号、通信開始時刻、通信時間
、通信枚数などのデータを出力するもので、この通信結
果レポートはロール状の記録シート３にサーマルヘッド
Ｆにより記録され、このロール状の記録シート３はプラ
テンを兼ねた搬送ローラ８により搬送路４を搬送される
。
［発明か解決しようとしている課題］ しかしなから、通信結果レポートはロール状の記録シー
ト３に記録されることになるため、送信ごとにロール状
の記録シート３を必要としてコストアップになるととも
に、ロール状の記録シート３をファクシミリ装置内に常
に保有しておく必要かあり、装置か大型化するものであ
った。
本発明は上記欠点を解決しようとするものて、通信結果
レポートを記録させるための記録シートを必要とせず、
小型化したファクシミリ装置を提供しようとするもので
ある。
［課題を解決するための手段］ かかる目的を達成するため、本発明は原稿シートの搬送
路並びに記録シートの搬送路を共用するように構成する
とともに、前記シート搬送路のシート挿入側に読み取り
部を配置し、且つ前記シート搬送路のシート＃呂側に記
録部を配置し、前記読み取り部と前記記録部とを前記シ
ート搬送路を挟んで対向する側に配置し、前記読み取り
部により前記原稿シートの読み取り後、前記原稿シート
の裏面側に前記記録部により通信結果レポートを印字す
るものである。
［実施例］ 以下本発明の一実施例を図面を参照して説明する。
第１図は原稿シート搬送路並びに記録シート搬送路を兼
ねたファクシミリ装置を示すものて、矢印Ｑに従って、
原稿シート或は記録シートを挿入すると、原稿シート或
は記録シートは読取動作酸は記録動作後に矢印Ｗ方向へ
排出される。
このように原稿シート搬送路並びに記録シート搬送路を
兼ねたファクシミリ装置の搬送部は第２図に示される。
この第２図において、１１は原稿シート１２（或は不図
示の記録シート以下原稿シートのみを記載する）を搬送
する搬送路で、この搬送路１１のシート１２挿入部近傍
には検知センサＳ１□か位置され、この検知センサＳ１
．が原稿シート１２を検知すると、搬送路１２上に設け
られた駆動ローラ、１：ｌ　、　１４　、１５か従動ロ
ーラ１３．、１５．とともに矢印方向に回転するように
なっている。Ｓ□２は原稿シート１２の先端を検出する
レジストセンサて、このセンサＳ１２か動作すると、原
稿シート１２の先端が読み取りセンサＲ１の読み取り位
置に到達する所定時間後に読み取りセンサＲ８の駆動回
路を作動し、読み取り動作を開始する。
読み取りセンサＲ０は読取面に圧接された原稿シートを
読み取るのて、このセンサＲ，は第３図に示す如く構成
されている。すなわち１６は原稿の幅方向に直線状に配
列されたイメージセンサアレイで、照明用ＬＥＤアレイ
１７によって照明された原稿上の画像情報を集光用ロッ
ドレンズアレイ１８を介して読み取る。１９は透明ガラ
ス板である。
２０ａおよび２０ｂはそれぞれ原稿シート１２の移動通
路を形成するために設けられた下側ガイド板と上側ガイ
ド板である。
２２は原稿（記録紙）移動通路を挟んて読取センサＲと
対向して配置された記録紙幅方向の印字巾を有するイン
クシェツトプリンタ部である。
このインクシェツトプリンタ２２は第４図に示す如くな
っている。すなわち２２Ｉはインクシェツトヘット２２
２と一体でこれへインクを供給するタンク２２３を備え
た装着自由のインクジェットカートリッジである。この
インクジェットカートリッジ２２□はインクタンク２２
３の前方面よりもわずかにインクシェツトヘット２２２
の先端部か突出した形状である。このインクシェツトヘ
ットカートリッジ２２□は、後述するキャリッジに対し
て着脱可能なディスポーザブルタイプのものである。
インクジェットヘット２２２に供給されるインクを貯留
したインクタンク２２．は、インク吸収体と、このイン
ク吸収体を挿入するための容器と、これを封止する蓋部
材（いずれも不図示）とで構成されている。このインク
タンク２２３内には、インクか充填されており、インク
の吐出に応して順次インクシェツトヘット側にインクを
供給している。
このインクジェットプリンタ部２２は第５図の如くキャ
リッジ２３に取り付けられ、ヘッド２２□かプラテン２
１上に送紙されてきたシートの記録面に対してインク吐
出を行う。第５図においてキャリッジ２３は駆動モータ
２４の駆動力を伝達する駆動ベルト２５の一部と連結し
、互いに平行に配設された２本のガイドシャフト２６ａ
および２６ｂと摺動可能とすることにより、記録ヘット
２２□の記録紙の全幅にわたる往復移動か可能となる。
２７はヘット回復装置てあり、記録ヘット２２□の移動
経路の一端、例えばホームポジションと対向する位置に
配設される。
２８の駆動力によって、ヘット回復装置２７を動作せし
め、記録ｌ＼ワット２２のキャッピングを行う。このヘ
ット回復装Ｍ２７のキャップ部２７ａによる記録ヘット
２２゜へのキャツビンク部に関連させて、ヘット回復装
置２７内に設けた適宜の吸引手段（例えば、吸引ポンプ
）によるインク吸収もしくは記録ヘット２２２へのイン
ク供給経路に設けた適宜の加圧手段によるインク圧送を
行い、これによりインクを吐出口から強制的に排出させ
ることにより吐出口内の増粘インクを除去する等の吐出
回復処理を行う。
また、記録終了時等にキャッピングを施すことにより記
録ヘットか保護される。
２９はヘット回復装置２７の側面に配設され、シリコン
ゴムて形成されるワイピング部材としてのプレートであ
る。プレート２９はプレート保持部材２９ａにカンチレ
バー形態て保持され、ヘット回復装置２７と同様、モー
タ２８によって動作し、記録ヘット２２２の吐出面との
保合か可能となる。これにより、記録ヘット２２２の記
録動作における適切なタイミンクで、あるいはヘット回
復装置２７を用いた吐出回復処理後に、フレート２９を
記録ヘット２２□の移動経路中に突出させ、ヘット２２
□の移動動作に伴なってヘット２２２の突出面における
結露、濡れあるいは塵埃等をふきとる。
第６図は第１図に示す装置の電気回路を示すものて、読
取命令スイッチ３３、原稿検知センサＳ４、レジストセ
ンサＳ２及びパルスカウンター３４の各々の出力信号は
コンピュータから成る制御回路３５に送られる。
制御回路３５はモータ駆動回路３６．読取センサ３８、
プリンタ駆動回路３９を制御し、それぞれ駆動パルスモ
ータ３７、読取センサＲ０、プリンタ２２を駆動する。
ここで第６図の回路を備えた第１図のファクシミリ装置
の動作を第７図のフローチャートとともに説明するが、
第８図は第６図に示す回路のタイミンクチャートで、図
中！；Ｌ１はレジストセンサＳ　１２から読取センサＲ
０の読取面まての原稿移動距離、又２は読取センサＲ３
の読取面からプリンタ２２印字面まての原稿移動距離、
交３は読取センサＲ１の読取面から駆動ローラ１５まて
の原稿移動距離を表わす。
原稿読取命令スイッチ３３を操作者か押しこのスイッチ
３３かステップＳ□てオンされたことか判断され、ステ
ップＳ２で原稿か原稿検知センサＳｌ＋により検知され
ると、ステップＳ３てパルスモータ３７か駆動される。
これにより駆動ローラ１３，１４．Ｉｓか従動ローラ１
３．．１５□とともに矢印方向に回転し、原稿１２を搬
送し、ステップＳ４でこの原稿１２の先端をレジストセ
ンサＳＩ２により検出されると、ステップＳ５でカウン
タ３４を起動し、原稿シート１２の先端かレジストセン
サＳ、２から読取センサＲ８の読み取り位置に到達する
までの距離ｌｒに要する時間をカウンタ３４かカウント
したことをステップＳ６で判断すると、ステップＳ７て
カウンタ３４をリセットし、ステップＳ８で読取センサ
駆動回路３８を駆動して読取センサＲ，の読取りを開始
する。この読取りセンサＲ，により読取りか行われ、ス
テップＳ９て原稿シート１２の後端かレジストセンサＳ
２により検知されると、ステップＳ、。てカウンタ３４
を起動し、原稿シート１２の後端がレジストセンサＳＩ
２から読取りセンサＲ８の読み取り位置に到達するまて
の距離交□に要する時間をカウンタ３４かカウントした
ことをステップＳ１．て判断するとステップＳ、□てカ
ウンタ３４をリセットし、ステップＳ＋３て読取りセン
サ駆動回路３８の駆動を停止し、読取りセンサＲ１の読
み取り動作を停止する。この読み取り動作の完了後にス
テップＳ、４て読み取った原稿画像の送信動作か行なわ
れる。この送信動作の完了後にステップＳ１．てカウン
タ３４のカウント動作を開始すると同時にステップＳ１
６てプリンタ駆動回路３９を駆動してインクシェツトプ
リンタ２２により第９図に示すような通信結果レポート
の印字を原稿シート１２の後端裏面側に開始する。原稿
シート１２の後端か読取りセンサＲ１の読取り位置から
プリンタ２２の印字面に到達するまての距離文２に要す
る時間をカウンタ３４かカウントしたことをステップＳ
＋７で判断すると、ステップ５ｌｌｌてプリンタ駆動回
路３９の駆動を停止して通信結果レポートの印字を終了
する。原稿シート１２の後端か更に読取りセンサＲの読
取り位置から駆動ローラ１５と従動ローラ１５、の圧接
面に到達するまての距離文、に要する時間をカウンタ３
４かカウントしたことをステップＳ＋９て判断するとス
テップＳ２０てカウンタ３４をリセットし、原稿シート
１２が充分に排紙されると、ステップＳ２１てモータ駆
動回路３６の動作を停止してパルスモータ３７を停止さ
せ一連の動作を終了する。
以上の実施例では画像出力用プリンタとしてインクジェ
ットプリンタを用いているか、プリンタとしてはこれに
限定されることなく、紙の印字装置１例えば、熱転写プ
リンタを用いても良い。
また、原稿シートの副走査移動量の検出に前述実施例て
は、カウンターによる駆動モータのパルス数計数を行な
っているか、所定の原稿移動速度におけるタイマによる
副走査移動量の検出を行なっても良い。
［発明の効果］ 以上詳記したように本発明によれば原稿シートの搬送路
並びに記録シートの搬送路を共用するように構成すると
ともに、前記シート搬送路のシート挿入側に読み取り部
を配置し、且つ前記シート搬送路のシート排出側に記録
部を配置し、前記読み取り部と前記記録部とを前記シー
ト搬送路を挟んて対向する側に配置し、前記読み取り部
により前記原稿シートの読み取り後、前記原稿シートの
裏面側に前記記録部により通信結果レポートを印字する
ため、専用の記録紙を必要とせず通信コストの減少とな
り、通信結果レポート用の記録紙をファクシミリ装置内
に保有する必要か無いため、装置全体の小型化が可能と
なる。

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 原稿シートの搬送路並びに記録シートの搬送路を共用す
    るように構成するとともに、前記シート搬送路のシート
    挿入側に読み取り部を配置し、且つ前記シート搬送路の
    シート排出側に記録部を配置し、前記読み取り部と前記
    記録部とを前記シート搬送路を挟んで対向する側に配置
    し、前記読み取り部により前記原稿シートの読み取り後
    、前記原稿シートの裏面側に前記記録部により通信結果
    レポートを印字することを特徴とするファクシミリ装置
    。
