PURPOSE:To smooth attatching/detatching work by providing a driving means by fluid pressure and spring means to a lift device of a device for attatching/ detatching a roll chock of rolling equipment. CONSTITUTION:In the device for attatching/detatching the roll chock to which the lift device for lifting a chock 5 to attatch or detatch the chock 5 to or from a roll 2 of rolling equipment is provided, the driving means by fluid pressure and spring means with which thrusts in the mutually parallel direction are displayed are provided to the lift device and they are constituted so that their total thrust becomes somewhat larger value than the weight of the chock.
