Abstract

PURPOSE:To convert an electromagnetic repulsive force generated between shunts effectively into contact pressure without decreasing the outward expansion of the shunts and improve the capacity of short-time electricity application by preventing the side plate part of a contact arm and the middle part of a shunt from lapping each other in parallel direction. CONSTITUTION:A cut part 17 is so formed in the side plate parts 6a of a contact arm 6 as to prevent the middle part of a shunt 10 and the side plate part 6a from lapping each other. When the cut part 17 is formed in the side plate part 6a of the contact arm 6 in this way, the middle part of the shunt 10 does not lap the side plate part 6a, so that friction force between both is remarkably decreased. Consequently, the outward expansion of the shunt 10 becomes high and thus rotation of a movable element 5 becomes large. The electromagnetic repulsive force generated between the shunts is converted into contact pressure effectively without lowering the outward expansion of the shunt 10 and short- time electricity application capacity is improved.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to a circuit breaker having a plurality of parallel contacts. [Prior art 1] Fig. 6 is a schematic diagram showing a conventional circuit breaker disclosed in, for example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 58-129717, and in the figure (1
) is a housing, (2) is a fixed contact that is arranged in parallel on the housing (1), (3) is a fixed conductor that is provided with a fixed contact (2),
(4) is a movable contact that comes into contact with and separates from the fixed contact (2), (5) is a mover provided with a movable contact (4) and a plurality of them are arranged in parallel, and (6) is a movable contact (5) that rotates around the movable contact (5). 7) is a contact arm rotatably held, and (8) is a contact arm (
The shaft (9) that rotatably supports 6) on the housing (1) is a conductor forming a terminal, and (1o) is a movable element (5) and a conductor (9).
(11) is a contact spring, (12) is a shunt that connects
(14) is an opening/closing mechanism connected to the contact arm (6) by a pin (13) to open and close the movable contact (4);
) is a part of the tripping relay, and (15) is the arc extinguishing chamber. The contact arm (6) is operated by the opening/closing mechanism (12).
) and mover (5) rotate, both contacts (2), (4)
opens and closes. The arc generated at that time is in the arc extinguishing room (15)
The arc is extinguished. The contact arm (6) in the circuit breaker has a movable element (5) and a shunt (1) as shown in FIGS. 7 and 8.
It has a side plate part (6a) for separating and arranging the parts 0) and 0) in parallel. [Problem to be solved by the invention 1] In the conventional circuit breaker as described above, the contact arm (6)
side plate part (6a) and side surface (10a) of the shunt (10)
Because they overlap, the electromagnetic attraction force (indicated by arrow 16) generated between the multiple shunts (10) and the side plate part (6a)
A frictional force was generated between the For this purpose, a shunt (l
O) expands outward as shown by the imaginary lines in Figures 7 and 8, reducing the effect of rotating the mover (5) around the shaft (7) in the contact pressing direction and increasing the contact pressure. However, there was a problem in that it was not possible to increase the current carrying capacity for a short time. This invention was made to solve this problem, and it is possible to effectively convert the electromagnetic repulsion force generated between the shunts into contact pressure without reducing the outward swelling of the shunts, thereby improving short-term current carrying capacity. The purpose is to obtain a circuit breaker that can achieve this. [Means for Solving the Problems J In order to achieve the above object, the circuit breaker according to the present invention has the following features:
The side plate portion of the contact arm and the intermediate portion of the shunt are prevented from wrapping in the direction in which they are arranged side by side. Further, it is preferable that the side plate portion of the contact arm is cut out so as not to overlap the intermediate portion of the shunt in the parallel direction, and a movable spacer that moves together with the shunt is provided in the cutout portion of the side plate portion. [Operation] In this invention, since the intermediate portion of the shunt does not overlap the side plate portion of the contact arm, the frictional force between the two is significantly reduced. Furthermore, since the movable spacer moves together with the shunt, it is possible to prevent the shunt from deforming due to electromagnetic attraction between the shunts during movement. [Embodiment] An embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2. Fig. 1 is a cross-sectional view of main parts, and Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view taken along line n-II in Fig. 1, and the same or corresponding parts as those of the above-mentioned conventional one are given the same reference numerals and explanations are omitted. In (1
7) is a notch provided in the side plate part (6a) of the contact arm (6), and the middle part of the shunt (10) is the notch part provided in the side plate part (6a) of the contact arm (6).
It is formed so that it does not overlap with a). By providing the notch (17) in the side plate (6a) of the contact arm (6) in this way, the middle part of the shunt (10) does not overlap with the side plate (6a), which reduces the frictional force between them. is significantly reduced. Therefore, the outward bulge of the shunt (10) also increases as shown by the imaginary line in FIG. 2, so the rotation of the movable element (5) increases. Next, another embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 3 and 4. Figure 3 is a sectional view of the main part, Figure 4 is line I in Figure 3.
In Figure 0, which is a cross-sectional view of the V-TV, parts that are the same or equivalent to those of the above embodiment are given the same reference numerals and explanations are omitted, (18) is a shaft (19) attached to the housing (1). The contact arm (6
) are respectively inserted into the notches (17) of the side plate portions (6a). (20) is a torsion spring for constantly bringing the movable spacer (18) into contact with the side plate portion (6a). If the movable spacer (18) is arranged in the notch (17) of the side plate (6a) in this way, when the shunt (10) expands outward, the movable spacer (18) will also be integrated with the electromagnetic attraction force. (The moving spacer 18 rotates about the shaft 19 as a fulcrum against the twisting spring 20.) Therefore, the frictional force applied to the shunt (10) is significantly reduced and , when the shunt (10) is swollen (the state shown by the imaginary line in Figure 4), the shunt (10)
Since there is a moving spacer (18) in between, the shunt (10) will not be deformed by electromagnetic attraction force. In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the movable spacer (1
8) is shown as being provided on the housing (1) side, but it may also be provided on the contact arm (6) as shown in FIG. [Effects of the Invention] As described above, according to the present invention, the electromagnetic repulsive force generated between the shunts can be effectively converted into contact pressure without reducing the outward swelling of the shunts, and the short-time current carrying capacity can be improved. You can achieve the effect of being able to
