Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent offensive odor by placing a change-over door at a position where the amount of air attaining an evaporator is reduced in accordance with an OFF signal of an ON-OFF switch for an air conditioner to reduce the amount of air in contact with the evaporator so that air flows from a bypass to the downstream of the evaporator. CONSTITUTION:When a switch 17 is turned OFF to stop applying voltage to a motor for a blower fan 3, an OFF signal allows a change-over door 13 to be changed by an actuator 14 from the second position 13b to the first position 13a as shown by a solid line to open the opening 12a of a bypass 12 and served as a baffle on the upstream of an evaporator 5. So, air A which flows onto the evaporator 5 with high air resistance and offensive odor is reduced and still almost air B flows to the downstream of the evaporator 5 via a bypass 12 with low resistance. As a result, less offensive odor is carried by the idle running blower fan 3 to an inside PR.

[Prior Art and Problems to be Solved by the Present Invention] In general, as automobiles drive in various places, they inhale various organic substances and fungi, such as Aspergillus and Penicillium, into the air conditioner. etc. adhere to the evaporator, multiply due to high temperature and humidity, and discharge waste products.
Adheres to the evaporator. If the air blown by the blower fan comes into contact with this area, it may pick up the odor of the waste products and cause a foul odor to be blown into the room. High temperature or n! Various methods have been proposed to kill the causative agent by cutting off Qi. For example, Utsukai Sho 58-48510
As shown in the publication, a blower fan is provided downstream of the evaporator, a discharge door is provided downstream of the blower fan, the discharge door closes the flow of air to the heater core, and the evaporator is discharged from the outside air inlet. There are some that allow the odor-laden air that flows in through the air to flow back. Further, as shown in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 62-152918, moisture in the air that has passed through the evaporator is detected, and a discharge door downstream of the blower fan closes the flow of air to the heater core, and the air is released into the outside air. The evaporator is dried by discharging the evaporator.

However, all of these automotive air conditioners are designed to prevent bad odors from being blown into the room when the blower fan is turned on for the first time. Therefore, if the blower fan has been running for a certain period of time and organic matter or fungi have newly adhered to the evaporator, then the air conditioner is turned off.
After the blower fan is idle for a certain period of time after it has stopped, there is a risk that the odor may be carried into the room again due to the fungi that have adhered to the evaporator during the above-mentioned period of operation.
No means are disclosed for solving this problem.

Therefore, according to this structure, when the switch is turned off, the amount of air that comes into contact with the evaporator that generates the bad odor is reduced, and most of the air flows downstream of the evaporator from the bypass passage with low resistance, so that the bad odor is eliminated. This means that the air will not be carried indoors by an idle blower fan.

Next, the switch 17 is turned off, and the blower fan 3
If the application of voltage to the motor (not shown) is stopped,
In response to this OFF signal, the actuator 14, which is a control means, switches the switching door 13 from the second position 13b to the first position 13a as shown by the solid line in FIG. It acts as a baffle plate on the upstream side of the Therefore, the air A flowing toward the evaporator 5 side, which has high air resistance and generates bad odor, decreases as shown in FIG. 2 with the symbol fal.
Moreover, most of the air B passes through the bypass passage 12 with low resistance to the evaporator 5, as shown in FIG.
According to the present invention, the conventional foul odor change curve shown by the broken line in FIG. 3 changes to the bad odor change curve shown by the solid line, so that the bad odor is carried to the indoor PR by the idling blower fan 3. There will be fewer things happening.

As described above, according to the present invention, there is provided an air conditioner for an automobile in which air is blown to the evaporator side by activation of the blower fan and blows air to the indoor side through the outlet. a bypass duct provided between a first passage between the evaporators and a second passage of the evaporator and air mix space so as to communicate both roads; and a bypass duct for directing air from the blower fan into the first passage. a switching door that is movable to a first position that leads to the opening of the duct and reduces the amount reaching the evaporator; and a switching door that is movable to a first position that closes the opening of the bypass duct and does not obstruct access to the evaporator; ON, OFF switch OFF
The device is characterized by comprising a control means for positioning the switching door to the first position in response to an F signal, so that when the switch is turned off, the amount of air that comes into contact with the evaporator that generates a bad odor is reduced. Since most of the air flows downstream of the evaporator through the bypass passage where there is less resistance, bad odors are not carried into the room by the idling blower fan, and when the air conditioner is turned off, It is possible to provide an air conditioner for an automobile that does not generate odor.
