Abstract

PURPOSE:To stably prepare a tablet using an existing tabletting machine without generating the damage of a lower pestle by forming a gap between the lower pestle and the inner peripheral surface of a mortar and supplying a powdery lubricant to the gap between the lower pestle and the inner peripheral surface of the mortar by an injection method to reduce the friction between the lower pestle and the mortar. CONSTITUTION:A mortar 2 is mounted on the rotary disk 1 of a rotary tabletting machine and a lower pestle 4 is engaged with and inserted in the inner hole 2a of the mortar 2 in a freely up-and-down movable manner. The part inserted in the inner hole 2a of the mortar 2 of the lower pestle 4 is formed so that the diameter thereof is smaller than that of the inner hole 2a of the mortar in a required degree excepting the leading end part 4a thereof and a gap A is formed between the inner peripheral surface of the mortar and the outer peripheral surface of the lower pestle and a pipe 5 supplying a lubricant in a mist form is arranged to the gap A. The rotary disk 1 having the mortar 2 mounted thereon is rotated around a vertical axis along with an upper pestle and the lower pestle 4 by a drive apparatus. The lubricant S is injected in the gap A from the pipe 5 and the excessive lubricant S is scraped off by the leading end part 4a of the lower pestle 4 and only a small amount of the lubricant is uniformly adhered to the inner peripheral surface of the mortar 2 and the outer peripheral surface of the lower mortar 4 to remain and the lower pestle 4 is moved within the inner hole 2a up and down in an extremely smooth manner.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Industrial Field of Application] The present invention relates to a method for producing tablets in pharmaceuticals, quasi-drugs, cosmetics, agricultural chemicals, feeds, foods, powder metallurgy, and the like. Specifically, the present invention relates to a tablet manufacturing method that can significantly reduce the friction between the lower punch and the die during tablet compression.

[Prior Art] A tabletting machine having a die having a penetrating inner hole, and an upper punch and a lower punch that fit into the die is used, and raw materials are compressed between the upper and lower punches inside the inner hole. The tablet manufacturing method of forming tablets by compression has been widely used (for example,
No. 11273, No. 47-31827, No. 48-201
03 etc.).

By the way, when manufacturing tablets using a tablet press, the raw material powder is generally a fine powder and has a high surface activity, which tends to cause problems such as sticking and binding.

In particular, fine powder gets trapped between the lower pestle and the mortar, increasing friction and causing the lower pestle to move poorly (squeak). As a result, damage to the lower punch occurs, making stable continuous tableting impossible.

Therefore, in order to reduce the friction between the inner wall surface or the upper and lower columnar surfaces and remove obstacles such as sticking and binding, lubricants (talc, stearic acid, magnesium stearate, hydrogenated vegetable oil, sucrose fatty acid Ester, etc.) are mixed into powder in advance and then compression molded.

In addition, in Japanese Patent Publication No. 41-11273, with the lower punch located at the lowest part of the mortar, a lubricant is sprayed onto the powder contact surfaces of the upper and lower punches and the inner surface of the white, and then the powder is removed within a day. Filling and compression molding is indicated.

Japanese Patent Publication No. 47-31827 discloses that solid lubricant particles are introduced into a mold of a compression molding machine, the lubricant is compressed in the mold, and the lubricant is removed from the mold except for the lubricant film remaining on the wall of the mold. A method is described in which the material is removed, a processed material is introduced into the mold, and the processed material is molded.

Japanese Patent Publication No. 48-20103 describes a continuous compression method in which fine powder of a lubricant is sprayed as a powder onto the powder-contacting parts of the upper and lower punches and on the inside surface of the punch, and then filled with powder to be compression-molded within the same day. The molding method is described.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] In the method of mixing a lubricant into raw material powder, in order to sufficiently reduce the friction between the punch and the die, a considerably large amount of lubricant is generally used. Requires agent.

Further, it is necessary to adjust the amount of lubricant depending on the particle size distribution of the powder to be compressed and the moisture contained in the powder. However, when the lubricant is used in an excessive amount, the strength of the compression molded product often decreases and the disintegration properties of the tablet deteriorate significantly.

In the methods described in Japanese Patent Publications No. 41-11273, No. 47-31827, and No. 48-20103, the lubricant adhering to the sliding part of the inner hole surface of the mortar with the lower punch and the side surface of the lower punch is removed. There were disadvantages in that the amount was not constant and the physical properties (for example, disintegration properties) of the obtained tablets were different.

The portion of the lower punch 4 that is inserted into the inner hole 2a, except for its tip 4a, has a diameter smaller than that of the inner hole 2a by a required degree, and there is a gap A between the inner peripheral surface of the mortar and the outer peripheral surface of the lower punch. is formed. Note that the tip portion 4a has a diameter slightly smaller (for example, about 10 to 20 μm) than the inner diameter of the inner diameter hole 2a, so that the lower punch 4 slides smoothly on the inner diameter hole 2a, and moreover, the lower punch 4 can slide smoothly on the inner diameter of the inner diameter hole 2a. It is designed to prevent the thickening agent from contaminating the product tablet.

The lubricant is continuously ejected from the vibrator 5 toward the center fIM A, and the lubricant is uniformly adhered to the inner circumferential surface of the inner hole 2a of the mortar 2 and the outer circumferential surface of the lower punch 4. As the lower pestle 4 descends,
The excess lubricant is scraped off by the tip portion 4a of the lower punch 4, and a small amount of the lubricant uniformly adheres to and remains on the inner peripheral surface of the mortar 2 and the outer peripheral surface of the lower punch 4. This residual lubricant is interposed between the outer peripheral surface of the lower punch tip portion 4a and the inner peripheral surface of the inner hole 2a, and the lower punch 4 can move up and down inside the inner hole 2a very smoothly. Begins to move.

Thereafter, an upper punch (path shown) is inserted into the inner hole 2a from above, and the raw material powder is strongly compressed between the upper punch and the lower punch 4 to form a tablet.

Thereafter, the upper punch is pulled out from the mortar, and the lower punch 4 is raised to push up the tablet so that it protrudes from the upper surface of the rotary disk 1. The tablets are then transferred from the lower punch 4 onto the rotary disk 1, further dropped into a chute (path shown) on the side of the rotary disk 1, and collected.

In the above process, in order to spray out the lubricant, the valve 8 is opened and compressed air is introduced into the container 6. This air rises within the container 6 and flows out of the vibrator 5 together with the lubricant S powder, whereby the lubricant is jetted out from the vibrator 5.
