For this reason, strong agents such as alkaline agents, acids, sodium hypochlorite, sodium percarbonate, or solvents are used as ingredients other than surfactants in hard surface liquid cleaning agents.

Examples of material damage include metal corrosion, yellowing of wood, for example, plain wood, and damage to concrete and tile joints, and countermeasures have been proposed for each.

However, it has been found that certain plastic items can be damaged when cleaned with hard surface liquid cleaners. Examples of such plastic products include polycarbonate electrolyte umbrellas and ABS (acrylonitrile/
butadiene/styrene copolymer) toilet seats, etc. Cracking may occur when cleaning these surfaces with hard surface liquid cleaners.

This is presumed to be due to the use of a cleaning agent containing a solvent that is a derivative thereof, and the fact that the pH of this cleaning agent affects plastic products.

It also has a big impact. In general, hard surface liquid cleaning agents vary in pH from strongly acidic to alkaline.
Since the hard surface liquid cleaning composition of the present invention becomes less effective in a strongly acidic region, the pH is adjusted to 4 to 12, preferably 5 to 9.
