(Prior Art) Conventionally, heat welding, caulking, and the like are known as methods for binding the ends of a strap attached to a camera or the like. However, in this method, the strap 2 is configured to pass through the loop 1a formed on the side surface of the camera body 1 as shown in FIG.
This requires a step of assembling the strap 2 into the camera body 1 in the middle of the factory production line, and further binding the ends of the strap 2 by heat welding or the like. This means that the strap 2 binding process must be included in the camera assembly process.
This means that after the strap 2 is attached, the camera attached to the strap 2 must be handled, resulting in a problem in workability.

Therefore, as a method to solve the above conventional problem, a strap connector 5 as shown in FIG.
0 was suggested. This connector 50 is a connector body 5 having an opening into which the strap 2 is inserted.
2, and a core 54 that slides in the groove 52a of the connector body 52. By sliding the core 54, the strap 2 is pressed against the inner surface of the connector body 52, and the strap 2 is substantially pressed against the inner surface of the connector body 52 and the core. The strap 2 is tied together by being held between the straps 54 and 54. According to this improved proposal, the strap 2 can be attached after the camera 1 etc. are completed,
Problems in the work process can be solved, and the length of the binding end of the strap 2 can be arbitrarily adjusted. However, in the strap connector 50 shown in FIG. 2, there was a problem in that the core 54 would slide in the direction of loosening even under a small impact, making it impossible to securely bind the straps 2.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention is a strap connector consisting of a connector body and a core, in which the connector body is formed into a hollow substantially rectangular column shape, and openings are formed on two opposing sides.
The core has a groove that is approximately the same width as the diameter of two straps,
The present invention is characterized by a strap connector having a base portion having an end face slightly wider than the width of the groove portion at intervals of approximately the strap diameter in the opening direction of the groove portion.

(Embodiment) FIGS. 3 to 7 show a first embodiment of the present invention.
The strap connector according to the present invention is composed of a connector main body 3 and a core 4, and the connector main body 3 here is formed into a hollow substantially rectangular column shape, so that openings 3a and 3b are formed on two opposing sides.
is formed. The core 4 is formed with a groove 4a having a width equal to or slightly smaller than the diameter of the two straps 2, and a base portion 4b having a width larger than the width of the groove 4a in the opening direction of the groove 4a. Both side surfaces of this base portion 4b are formed in a comb tooth shape, and the width h2 of this base portion 4b is equal to the width h1 of the inner surface of the connector body 3.
The width is set to be the same as or slightly wider than the width of strap 2 minus the diameter h3 of the two straps. In addition, core 4
The groove portion 4a is set to match the opening 3a of the connector body 3, and the lid portion 4c is set to match the opening 3b. Moreover, the groove portion 4a and the base portion 4b of the core 4
The distance between the strap 2 and the strap 2 is approximately equal to the diameter of the strap 2.

Strap 2 first has opening 3 in connector body 3.
It is inserted through the opening 3b and taken out through the opening 3b. Then, the vicinity of the end of the strap 2 is inserted into the groove 4a of the core 4 (see FIGS. 4 and 5). When the core 4 is inserted into the connector body 3 from this state, the ends of the strap 2 are connected to the connector body 3 and the core 4 as shown in FIGS. 6 and 7.
bound by. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 7, the end of the strap 2 is held between the inner surface of the connector body 3 and the base 4b of the core 4, and due to the difference in width between the groove 4a and the base 4b. Since the B portion of the strap 2 is bent at a substantially right angle, the strap 2, particularly the B portion, bites into the end surface A of the base portion 4b and is subjected to an extremely strong clamping force.
Further, since both side surfaces of the base 4b are formed in a comb-teeth shape, the strap 2 at this portion also comes into contact with the base 4b of the core 4 through a plurality of edges, thereby generating a strong clamping force.

A feature of the second embodiment is that the lid portion 4d of the core 4 is set to be narrower than the opening 3b of the connector body 3, so that the strap 2 can be taken out. Therefore, by selecting the binding position using the strap connector, the length from the base of the strap 2 to the binding end can be adjusted as desired.

The feature of this third embodiment is that the core 4 is attached to one side of the camera body 1 by, for example, integral molding or a snap fit, and the end of the strap 2 is tied at that position. The opening 3c on one side of 3 is set to have the same width as the inner surface. Therefore, the camera body 1 does not require the through ring 1a in the first embodiment.

(Effects of the invention) As explained above, the present invention provides a strap connector consisting of a connector main body and a core, in which the core is disposed in a groove with an interval approximately equal to the diameter of the strap in the direction in which the groove extends. The width of the groove is equal to the width of the strap.
The width is approximately the same as the diameter of the main body, and the width of the end surface on the groove side of the base is larger than the width of the groove, and when the core is fitted into the connector body, the width of the inner surface of the connector body and The difference from the width of the base is approximately equal to the diameter of the strap on both sides of the base. As a result, when the core is inserted into the connector body into which the strap has been inserted, the strap is bent at a substantially right angle between the groove and the base, and then bent again at a substantially right angle at the end surface of the base. As a result, it is possible to provide a strap connector that receives a strong holding force and does not come off even with some impact.
