目的とするもので、歯切り加工後、ホブの取付角
度を所定量だけ変化させた状態で、該ホブによつ
て再び歯切り加工することを特徴とする。

の時のホブカツタ1の切刃面、すなわち、加工さ
れる歯車の軸線に直交する断面を同図ロに示し、
同図ハはその拡大図である。この状態でのホブ切
り加工を完了したのち、図示しないホブ盤のホブ
ヘツドを作動してホブカツタ1軸線をさらにα°
(あるいは−α°)だけ傾けるとともに加工される
歯車から所定量遠ざけた状態で加工すれば被加工
歯車の歯先部を面取りすることができる。なお、
ホブカツタの切刃はホブ諸元に基づいて設計され
ていので、ホブカツタの取付角T°はホブカツタ
を進みと加工される歯車のねじれ角に応じて正し
く設置されていなければならない。続いて、ホブ
カツタを±α°だけ傾ければ、ホブカツタの刃形は
加工される歯車側からみれば大きくなる。したが
つてこの状態でホブカツタと加工される歯車との
距離を大きく、すなわち切り込みを浅くして加工
すれば面取りができるものである。

する必要がなく、面取り形状によつて種々のホブ
カツタを取り揃えておかなくてよいため、工具管
理の面においても有効である。
