Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は、ワイヤボンデイング装置に関し、特に半導体
装置製造用の超音波ワイヤボンデイング装置のクランパ
に関する。
〔従来の技術〕
従来の超音波ワイヤボンデイング装置は、第２図に示す
ように、ボンデイングワイヤ５と接するワイヤクランパ
のクランプ面（フィンガー１＝１．１−２の先端部）は
平坦であった。
〔発明が解決しようとする課題〕
上述した従来のワイヤボンディング装置は、ボンディン
グワイヤをクランパの平坦なクランプ面間に通している
ので、ボンディング時のワイヤ振動によりクランパが開
いた時に、ワイヤがクランプ面から外れてしまうという
欠点がある。
〔課題を解決するための手段〕
本発明のワイヤボンディング装置は、ボンデイングワイ
ヤガイドをワイヤクランパのクランブ面に有していると
いうものである。
〔実施例〕
次に、本発明について図面を参照して説明する。
第１図（ａ）は本発明の一実施例を示すクランパの正面
図、第１図（ｂ）は第１図（ａ）のＡ部の拡大断面図、
第１図（Ｃ）は一実施例を示すクランパの側面図である
。
クランパを構戒する一対のフィンガ１−１．１−２の先
端部にねじ４−１．４−２からなるボンディングワイヤ
ガイドが設けられている。ねじ４１．４−２はそれぞれ
フィンガ１−１側に設けられたねし穴に挿入固定されて
いる。ねじ４１．４−２の間をボンディングワイヤ５を
通す。
なお、ねじを設ける代りにフィンガ１−１．１２の少な
くともいずれが一方に直線上の溝を設けてもよい。
〔発明の効果〕
以上説明したように本発明は、ワイヤクランパのクラン
プ面にボンディングワイヤガイドを設けることにより、
ボンディング時のワイヤ振動によるワイヤのクランプ面
からの外れを防止でき更にワイヤ振動を一定振幅以内に
抑制できボンディング作業を安定化できる効果がある。
第２図（ａ）のＡ部拡大断面図及び拡大側面図である。
