Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は、ワイヤボンディング装置に関し、特に半導
体装置製造用の超音波ワイヤボンディング装置のクラン
パに関する。
〔従来の技術〕
従来の超音波ワイヤボンディング装置は、第２図に示
すように、一対のフィンガ１−1,1−２の先端面（クラ
ンプ面）でボンディングワイヤを挟んでクランプするワ
イヤクランプを有し、ボンディングワイヤ５と接するワ
イヤクランパのクランプ面は、単に平坦になっているの
みであった。
〔発明が解決しようとする課題〕
上述した従来のワイヤボンディング装置は、ボンディ
ングワイヤをクランパの平坦なクランプ面間に通してい
るので、ボンディング時のワイヤ振動によりクランパが
開いた時に、ワイヤがクランプ面から外れてしまうとい
う欠点がある。
〔課題を解決するための手段〕
本発明のワイヤボンディング装置は、ボンディングワ
イヤガイドをワイヤクランパのクランプ面に有している
というものである。
〔実施例〕
次に、本発明について図面を参照して説明する。
第１図（ａ）は本発明の一実施例を示すクランパの正
面図、第１図（ｂ）は第１図（ａ）のＡ部の拡大断面
図、第１図（ｃ）は一実施例を示すクランパの側面図で
ある。
この実施例は、一対のフィンガ１−1,1−２の先端面
（クランプ面）でボンディングワイヤを挟んでクランプ
するワイヤクランパを有し、クランパを構成する一対の
フィンガ１−1,1−２の先端部にねじ４−1,4−２からな
るボンディングワイヤガイドが設けられている。ねじ４
−1,4−２はそれぞれフィンガ１−１側に設けられたね
じ穴に挿入固定されている。ねじ４−1,4−２の間をボ
ンディングワイヤ５を通す。
〔発明の効果〕
以上説明したように本発明は、ワイヤクランパのクラ
ンプ面にボンディングワイヤガイドを設けることによ
り、ボンディング時のワイヤ振動によるワイヤのクラン
プ面からの外れを防止でき更にワイヤ振動を一定振幅以
内に抑制できボンディング作業を安定化できる効果があ
る。

Claims (2)

    (57)【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】一対のフィンガの先端面でボンディングワ
    イヤを挟んでクランプするワイヤクランパを有するワイ
    ヤボンディング装置において、一方の前記フィンガの先
    端面に所定距離を置いて設けられた一対のねじ穴と、他
    方の前記フィンガに前記一対のねじ穴に対応して設けら
    れボンディングワイヤを挟む先端面と対向する面から前
    記先端面に貫通する一対の穴と、前記一対の穴のそれぞ
    れを通して対応する前記ねじ穴に挿入固定される一対の
    ねじとを有し、前記一対のねじの間にボンディングワイ
    ヤを通すボンディングワイヤガイドを備えることを特徴
    とするワイヤボンディング装置。
  2. 【請求項２】ねじが、ねじ穴に挿入固定される先端部よ
    り太い他端部を有する請求項１記載のワイヤボンディン
    グ装置。
