Abstract

PURPOSE:To give a vivid multicolor pattern on a facing rubber layer quickly and easily, and release the former pattern easily to give a new pattern easily by theremal-transferring the thermal transfer sheet with pattern on the facing rubber layer of a handrail so that the thermal transferring adhesive becomes the contact face side. CONSTITUTION:A rubber elastic ink printed pattern layer 4 is screen-process- printed on a mold releasing paper layer 5 and a thermal transferring adhesive layer 3 is provided on the pattern of the rubber elastic ink printed pattern layer 4 to form a thermal transfer sheet with pattern. The thermal transferring adhesive layer 3 of the thermal transfer sheet with pattern is placed on a facing rubber layer 2 of a handrail made by valcanizing-molding so as to contact to the facing rubber layer 2, and the thermal transfer sheet is pressurized and heated by a pressurizing and heating member from the upper part of the mold releasing paper layer 5 to thermal-transfer the rubber elastic ink printed pattern layer 4 on the facing rubber layer 2 through the thermal transferring adhesive layer 3. Finally, the mold releasing paper layer 5 is released to obtain a handrail with pattern.

Utility Model Application No. 48-41481 and Utility Model Application No. 53-10329
No. 2 shows a patterned handrail in which bright reflectors, such as glass beads, are embedded in the decorative rubber surface of the handrail. However, the handrail in which the luminous reflector is embedded has the disadvantage that the buried luminous reflector may come out due to repeated bending action during operation of the escalator.

Japanese Utility Model Application No. 48-44194 discloses a patterned handrail in which a rubber coating is applied to the rubber surface of the handrail. However, this actual production started in 1973-441.
The patterned rail No. 94 has the disadvantage that the surface is covered with a different type of fabric, which spoils its appearance.

However, the patterned handrail of JP-A No. 49-42077 requires the preforming process of the rubber sheet for the marking tip.
Process of punching out a specified pattern from a rubber sheet for marking chips, process of creating an auxiliary sheet material, process of creating a marking chip with a base by embedding mark-shaped pre-vulcanized marking chips in the auxiliary sheet material, unvulcanized decorative rubber surface of the handrail It requires complicated processes such as forming vertical grooves, embedding marking chips with pedestals in the vertical grooves on the surface of the unvulcanized decorative rubber, and vulcanization adhesion process.Furthermore, the 7 There is a drawback that durability is impaired due to cracking, etc.

Therefore, in order to eliminate the disadvantage of reduced durability due to vertical grooves formed on the surface of decorative rubber, there is a method of carving a mark groove only in the part to be marked and filling the mark groove with marking material (for example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 61-248893 No. 3) has been proposed, but similarly, a decrease in durability due to a decrease in tensile strength and the occurrence of cracks is unavoidable.

Further, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 61-248894 discloses a method of integrally molding a preformed unvulcanized rubber, a strip of unvulcanized rubber, and a marking chip by placing them on a canvas preform. However, this method involves complicated steps such as a preforming step and an integral molding step by vulcanization under high temperature and high pressure, and as a result, it is difficult to apply a clear multicolored pattern or to change the design.

In addition, in all of these conventional techniques, the pattern was completely vulcanized and adhered to the decorative rubber layer of the 1/2% sand rail, so it was impossible to change the pattern.

[Problem 8 to be solved by the invention] The present invention has been made based on the above points, and its purpose is to eliminate the drawbacks of the prior art described above,
Quickly and clearly create a desired multi-colored pattern on the decorative rubber layer of a vulcanized handrail attached to an escalator.
Moreover, when the pattern becomes old due to use, it is possible to blow hot air or apply a hot plate to the old pattern surface while the escalator is stopped without removing the rail. Alternatively, it is an object of the present invention to provide a handrail with a pattern, in which the pattern can be peeled off after being permeated with an organic solvent, and a new pattern can be quickly and easily applied to the peeled surface.
