る。この場合、背凭れ１１の幅及び厚みの大小の
変動は、座席用カバー１の左右両側部の折り返し
長さの大小によつて吸収することができるのであ
り、一方座席用カバーの少なくとも上部には筒状
部５及び紐体６が、上記カバー１の左右両側縁部
及び左右中間箇所に、自動車の座席におけるヘツ
ドレスト８の幅間隔ｌ或いは略幅間隔に対応させ
て、縦方向に取り付けられているから、当該紐体
６を上下方向に引つ張つて固定することにより背
凭れ１１に張設でき、この結果、座席７の上下高
さ及び厚さの変動は、座席用カバー１の座席１０
上部裏面側への折り返し長さの大小で吸収できる
のである。この座席用カバー１の取付けに際し
て、上記筒状部５はその裏面部５′が、第９図に
示すように、背凭れ１１に押圧されて座席１０と
の摩擦により縮みにくく、従つてこの裏面部５′
が突張るから、座席用カバー１自体が縮みにくい
のであり、従つて、座席用カバー１は上下方向に
各々引つ張られた状態で張設され、この結果、第
７図及び第８図に示すように、ヘツドレスト８が
ない背凭れ１１に対して上下左右のいずれの方向
にもしわがよらず美麗に装着できるのであり、一
方ヘツドレスト８のある背凭れ１１のときには、
第１１図及び第１２図に示すように、ヘツドレス
ト８，８箇所の先端部を座席１０の裏面側に引つ
張つて座席用カバー１を伸張すればよいのである
（この場合、この箇所での布地の折り返し寸法が

から、生産管理、在庫管理が容易になると共に、
