In the case of FFL, there is no way to forcibly drive the inkjet head, and as a result, there is a risk that the moisture in the ink will evaporate at the tip of the inkjet head nozzle, causing the ink viscosity to increase. In conventional devices, when the printer is stored, transported, or not operated for a long period of time, the moisture in the ink evaporates in the nozzle of the inkjet head, increasing the viscosity of the ink and causing inkjet particles to form. The power of the energy converter, such as a piezoelectric element, that generates inkjet particles is absolutely insufficient, making it difficult to generate inkjet particles, and there is a possibility that a phenomenon called "clogging" may occur. The purpose of the present invention is to supplement the power supply even if the main power is turned off by the command of the printer itself at a certain period when the inkjet head is not used for printing for a long period of time. The object of the present invention is to provide an inkjet printer that drives the head and discharges the ink so that the ink viscosity does not rise above a certain value, thereby stabilizing the head over a long period of time. [To solve the problem] In order to achieve the above object, the inkjet printer according to the present invention includes: an inkjet head that prints by ejecting ink; an inkjet head driver that drives and controls the inkjet head; and print data from a host device, etc. Based on this, a drive command for data output by the inkjet head is issued to the inkjet head driver, and if the drive command is not output within a set time from the end of printing by the inkjet head, 1) to the inkjet head driver in 1. , a first control unit that issues a command to forcibly eject ink from the inkjet head; and a first control unit that is backed up by a sub-power supply independent of the main power supply when the main power supply for driving the inkjet printer is turned off, and that is connected to the inkjet head driver; A second control section is provided that periodically issues a command to force the inkjet head to eject ink.

In the figure, ■ is a microprocessor (control unit) that controls the inkjet printer head when the main power source for driving the inkjet printer is turned on. 2 is a microprocessor (control unit) that starts operating when the main power is off, that is, when a secondary power source such as a battery independent of the main power source for driving the inkjet printer is supplied, and controls the inkjet head when the main power is off. .. 4 and 5 hold the operation when the main power is ON, and the sub power 3
This is a relay that turns off the power. relay 4,
5 starts automatically when the main power is turned on, and when the main power is turned off.
It is unconditionally reset at F, makes the contact on the sub power supply side, and supplies sub power to the microprocessor 2 and inkjet head driver 7. 6 is a wired OR circuit. 7 is an inkjet head driver that drives and controls the inkjet head. 8 is an inkjet head, which uses a piezoelectric element in the embodiment of the present invention. 9 is a voltage booster (DC-DC converter) for driving the inkjet head 8 and boosts the voltage of the auxiliary power supply 3 to a DC level. 10a is a logic power supply that is supplied to the microprocessor 1 when the main power is turned on. 1
0b is a drive power supply that drives the inkjet head 8 when the main power is turned on. In addition, in FIG. 1, the peripheral circuits of the microprocessor 1.2 are omitted. Next, the operation of the present invention will be explained based on FIGS. 1 and 2. When the main drive ta of the inkjet printer is ON,
The microprocessor 1 issues a data output drive command to the inkjet head driver 7 in response to print data input from a host device or an operator, and causes the inkjet head 8 to print the data output. In addition, the microphone processor l has another function. That is, as shown in flow 12, the microprocessor l calculates the elapsed time 1゛1 from the end of printing when the main power is turned on.
and the operating cycle 1' determined to maintain reliability according to the present invention.
2 are equal to each other, and in the state of T1 minus T2, the built-in timer is reset, the elapsed time T1 from the end of printing is measured again, and the time T1 is compared with the operation cycle T2. When the state of T1>T2 is reached, the system switches to the forced operation routine and generates a drive pulse to issue a drive command to the inkjet head driver 7, and the inkjet head driver 7 forcibly moves the eyes of the inkjet head 8 at regular intervals. Prevent clogging. On the other hand, each time ink is ejected from the inkjet head 8, the built-in timer is reset, the length of T2 and T2 is compared by 1, and the above operation is performed.

Since relays 4 and 5 will be OFF, PO will be turned on by sub power supply 3.
The counting time of the timer counter CT, which starts operation when 14ER is turned on and counts the operation cycle, is compared with the operation cycle T2 determined to maintain reliability according to the present invention. If the values match, a driving pulse is output to the inkjet head driver 7, and the ink is forcibly ejected from the inkjet head 8 to prevent clogging. This operation is performed when the main power supply for driving the inkjet printer is ON.
After the main power is turned on, the above-mentioned operations are performed by the microprocessor in place of the microprocessor 2 as described above. [Effects of the Invention] As explained above, by driving the inkjet head at certain intervals when the main power of the inkjet printer according to the present invention is turned off, the inkjet head 1 and This eliminates the problem of apparent clogging caused by increased ink viscosity at the tip of the head, and has the effect of providing an inkjet printer that is highly reliable over a long period of time. In fact, the effect of the present invention is that, in addition to the present invention, the tip of the inkjet head is also used next to the ink drying reduction machine, but it lasts for about one year with driving once a day and driving at 100 pulses per time. 1. Stability can be obtained.
