PURPOSE:To prevent printing paper or ink sheet from becoming unusable by suspending the action of a paper drive part and sounding an alarm when a start position detection part can no longer detect a start mark on the ink sheet while the paper drive part moves printing paper to a printing position. れていなかった。

図で、インクシート開始マーク検出部13は開始マーク
32を検出する。33はインクシートの染料塗布部分で
サーマルヘッド24で熱を加えることにより印写用紙に
染料を転写し画像を印写するものである。印写用紙を印
写位置に移動する場合、制御部14はインクシート開始

塗布開始位置を確認するための開始位置検出部と、該開
始位置検出部の状態に応じて用紙駆動部を制御する制御
部と、異常時に警告を発生する警告部と、印写時に、該
サーマルヘッド部にインクシートをはさんで印写用紙に
押圧させるサーマルヘッド駆動部を具備し、印写動作を
行う前に予め前記開始位置検出部で、インクシートの染
料塗布開始マークを検出するまでインクシートを巻き取
っておき用紙駆動部が印写用紙を印写位置に移動させる
間にインクシートの開始位置検出部が染料塗布開始マー
クの検出ができなくなった場合に印写用紙の移動を中止
し、異常を警告することを特徴とする画像プリンタ。
