ハウジングとの間に介在され、クラツチ軸に固定
されたロータとフライホイールハウジングに設け
られたステータとを備え、内蔵せるオイルポンプ
によりステータとロータとの間に作動油を供給し
て前記ロータ側のエネルギを吸収する油圧式のリ
ターダにおいて、前記オイルポンプのポンプハウ
ジングを形成する側板と前記ステータとの間に介
在され、前記側板を、リターダ作動時にはポンプ
ハウジング本体に圧接させてポンプとしての機能
を持たせ、非作動時には離隔させてポンプとして
の機能を解除するクラツチを設けたことを特徴と
