Abstract

PURPOSE:To correct the insufficient plotting of a segment due to the blurring, etc., of the pen immediately occurring after the exchanger of a pen only by the key operation of a plotter singly by mounting a processor, a memory and a key switch and providing a mode capable of redrawing a previously drawn segment while tracing back to the past. CONSTITUTION:When a pen selection command is recognized on the analysis of a command, a processor (220) does not output information for plotting on execution regarding a command after the selection of a pen to a driver circuit (260) directly, and stores information in a memory (250) once and outputs the information, and drives a mechanism section (270). The processor (220) analyzes and executes plotting commands in succession, and temporarily interrupts plotting automatically when a plotting segment after the pen selection command is brought to specified number, and a plotter waits a key input. When a user indicates and supports continuation by key operation at that time, subsequently plotting is conducted continuously. When return up to the command immediately after the selection of the pen is assigned, such operation is performed, and segments until temporarily interruption can be plotted repeatedly.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to correction of blurred pen drawings and incorrect paper and pen settings in pen plotters. [Prior art] (1) When plotting with a pen plotter, a plotting command is sent to the plotter from an external device such as a personal computer, but it is usually not determined whether the pen can write or not. Each unused pen placed in the device is automatically capped to prevent the pen tip from drying out. Related devices of this type include Japanese Patent Application Laid-open No. 63-4000 and Japanese Utility Model Application No. 60-1713.
No. 93, No. 59-164794, No. 60-10679
No. 2, No. 60-132390, etc. (2) Furthermore, with conventional devices, by pressing the manual key during drawing after selecting a pen, drawing can be temporarily interrupted, and in some cases, pens can be replaced during this interruption. [Problem to be Solved by the Invention] Regarding (l), the above-mentioned prior art focuses on reducing pen blurring when actually drawing, and focuses on reducing redrawing due to pen blurring once selected. No consideration was given to Similarly, regarding (2), it is possible to freely change pens after interruption, but no consideration is given to correcting blurred drawings.
In order to obtain a drawing result that satisfies the user, each pen must be thoroughly checked before drawing, and if the pen still blurs, the same drawing command must be sent from the host computer each time. Ta. In addition, if the same drawing is drawn multiple times using the method described above, there will be problems such as blurring in normally drawn areas, shading of line segments, etc., and deterioration of image quality. The purpose of the present invention is to eliminate the drawbacks of the prior art, to make it possible to correct drawing defects in a short time using a blotter alone, and to provide a user with high-quality drawing results by sending a group of drawing commands once. There is a particular thing. [i
[Means for solving ill problem] In order to achieve the above purpose, if a drawing command includes a pen selection command, pulse output in both X and Y coordinate directions is transmitted to the drive circuit by subsequent command analysis. By storing values, motor rotation direction, and pen up/down information for multiple line segments in memory, temporarily interrupting drawing by key operation, calling up the motor rotation amount already stored in memory, and reversing the rotation direction. This makes it possible to return the pen to the position immediately after pen replacement and correct blurred drawings using the stored motor rotation amount, rotation direction, and pen up/down information. [Operation] The plotter analyzes the given drawing command, and if the command involves two motors or pen up/down drive, it controls the drive circuit based on the relevant information and drives the functional parts. If the corresponding command is a pen selection command when the drawing command is analyzed, information on the motor and pen up/down drive after the completion of the pen selection operation is stored in the memory for each line segment. After selecting the pen and drawing the specified line segment, the plotter automatically or manually interrupts plotting and leaves it to the user to determine whether the plot is blurred or not after replacing the pen. The plotter remains in a suspended state until the user decides whether the plotting result is acceptable or not, so the decision will not be overlooked. In addition, when drawing the same line segment again after returning to the position immediately after replacing the pen, the presence or absence of key human power is determined after drawing the line segment.
When the key is manually operated, the pen moves to the position where drawing is interrupted, so there is no need to double write normal line segments. Furthermore, since the key is again waiting for human power at the interrupted position, it is possible to correct the line segment as many times as you like. [Example] An example of the present invention will be described below. FIG. 1 is an explanatory diagram of the movement of a plotter pen showing an example of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a diagram showing the configuration of an embodiment of the present invention and the flow of data processed internally. FIG. 3 is a state diagram in memory showing an example of a data group used in repetitive drawing of line segments, and FIG. 4 is a processing flow diagram showing an embodiment of the present invention. First, the outline of the embodiment will be explained using Fig. 2. When a user wants a plotter to draw, he or she usually uses an external device such as a personal computer (200) and sends a group of plotting commands to the plotter. The printer is the interface part (2
10). While storing a group of plotting instructions in the buffer memory (230) via the processor (220), the drawing instructions are sequentially analyzed and executed one by one from the beginning of the buffer memory (230) to prepare information for plotting. Afterwards, the mechanism section (270) is driven via the drive circuit (260) to draw the diagram. When the processor (220) recognizes a pen selection command when analyzing the above command, the processor (220) does not directly output the information for drawing to the drive circuit (260) when executing the command after selecting the pen, but outputs the information once. Memory (2 5
0) and then outputs it to drive the mechanism section (2 7 0). The processor (220) sequentially analyzes and executes the plotting commands, and when the number of plotted line segments after the pen selection command reaches a specified number, the plotter automatically suspends the plotting and the plotter waits for key human input. At this point, if the user instructs to continue using a key operation, subsequent drawings will continue. Also, if you specify a return to the command immediately after Ben selection, the program will operate in that manner, allowing you to repeatedly draw the line segment up to the moment of interruption.

Next, a specific example will be described using Figures 1 and 3. Figure 1 is an explanatory diagram showing the movement of the pen during drawing, and Figure 3 is a state diagram in memory showing an example of a group of data used when repeatedly drawing line segments. Upon receiving the plotting command, the plotter selects the pen position (10) immediately after the pen exchange command at point A, and plots the subsequent plotting line segments up to vectors a, b, . . . , g. At this time, the drawing information of each vector is stored in the memory (250
). The leading position of the pointer in memory during line segment repetitive drawing [(300) is updated, and the pointer is at the vector information storage end position, that is, the end position of the pointer in memory t! (310), the plotter temporarily suspends the subsequent drawing, and the pen position (1) after drawing the specified line segment is reached.
0') and wait for key personnel (point B). If the user enters the continue key here, the memory (2 5 0
) is not reused, and until a new pen selection command is executed, the output data to the drive circuit (260) is sent to the mechanical unit (27) without going through the memory (250).

Using the data stored in 0), move the pen up on the line segment while decreasing the pointer.

At this time, the data stored in the memory (250) is designed to be easily reused. x,
Since complicated calculations are not required by simply reversing the rotational direction of the motor that outputs in each y coordinate direction, the pen can be moved to point A quickly and reliably. Plotter is A
At this point, I was once again waiting for a key person. Here, the user checks the pen position it (10) immediately after the pen exchange command,
If necessary, change to another pen and press the Continue key. The plotter again executes the data in the memory (250) according to the pointer and plots the line segment repeatedly. When returning from point B to point A, some data was changed to control the mechanism, but
In the case of repetitive plotting from point A to point B, there is no need to change data, so repetitive plotting can be performed even faster. Also, after drawing a line segment (vector), the plotter checks whether the user has the key power or not, so if there is key power while drawing vector b, the plotter always moves the subsequent vectors with the pen up. This prevents unnecessary double writing on normally drawn line segments. In this way, even after the pen reaches point B, the next drawing is not executed immediately and the key input is required again, so if you still cannot obtain a satisfactory line segment with the above operation, repeat it as many times as you like. You can draw line segments using . In this example, the number of repeated line segments after pen selection is 7, but it is easy to increase the number of line segments by increasing the memory (2 5 0). Also,
Although the memory (250) is distinguished from the buffer memory (230) for storing a group of plotter instructions, it goes without saying that they can also be used together within the buffer memory (230).

The internal processing method of the plotter for realizing the above processing will be explained with reference to FIG. FIG. 4 is a processing flow diagram of a blotter showing an embodiment of the present invention. The plotter receives plotting commands, analyzes and executes them one by one (400). If the executed command is not a pen exchange command, the above process (4 0
0), and in the case of a pen exchange command (410). memory(
250) is initialized (4 2 0), and the next instruction is analyzed and executed (430). At this time, it is determined whether the next command is a new pen exchange command (40
By adding 4), you can specify repeated drawing even if the specified line segment drawing is not achieved after changing the pen. If it is not a pen exchange command, the command is analyzed and the mechanical part driving data after execution is stored in the memory (250) (450), and the pointer is updated (460). Thereafter, the position of the pointer is determined (470), and if it does not match the specified line segment drawing end position, the process returns to the previous step and repeats the next instruction analysis process and execution (430). When the pointer matches the specified line segment drawing end position, the plotter determines whether the repeated drawing designation key has been pressed (4
80) and presses the continue key (490). If the continue key is pressed, it is assumed that repeated drawing is not to be performed and the process moves on to analysis and execution of the next command (400). If the repetitive drawing designation key is pressed, the following line segment repetitive drawing process (5 0 0) is performed. Details of the iterative drawing process are shown in the flowchart shown in FIG. First, memory (
250) is moved back by one line (510),
Import the data indicated by the pointer (Step 5). Next, among this data, the pen-up/down information is ignored and the pen-up is specified, and the rotational direction of the motor for driving both the X and Y coordinates is reversed with respect to the data to drive the mechanism (520 ). Next, the pointer is memory (250)
Determine whether it matches the first position of (525)
, if they do not match, go back and repeat the process of (5 1 0) to move the pen to the pen position immediately after executing the pen exchange command. After this, the plotter loops until the continue processing key is pressed (530). If pressed, the mechanism drive data indicated by the pointer in the current memory (250) is fetched (535). If the skip key is pressed (540), the pen-up designation is always made (545), and if the skip key is pressed, one-line drawing is performed with the pen-up/down designation according to the data (550). After drawing, update the pointer (5 5 5). It is determined whether the pointer matches the end position (560). If they do not match, go back and repeat the data import process (5 3 5). If they match, the repetitive drawing is finished once, the continuation key manual judgment (490) and the repetitive drawing designation key manual judgment (480) are performed, and it becomes possible to continue drawing or re-execute the repetitive drawing.6 or more According to this embodiment, if there is a problem when plotting a line immediately after a pen replacement command, the plotter automatically interrupts plotting and leaves the decision to the user. It is possible to avoid moving on to the next drawing while remaining dissatisfied with the drawing. Furthermore, in repetitive drawing immediately after replacing the pen, you will not have to carelessly draw twice the line segments that were normally drawn manually, and you can repeat drawing only the unsatisfied line segments as many times as you like until you are satisfied. . It has the following effects. In addition, by increasing the specified number of line segments and monitoring the key switch input status even before the end of the specified line segment, it is possible to avoid the plotter from interrupting drawing every time after drawing a few line segments immediately after selecting the pen. It is also possible to change it. [Effects of the Invention] According to the present invention, it is possible to repeatedly correct line segment drawing defects immediately after pen replacement due to blurred pens, etc., by simply operating the plotter keys without having to resend commands from an external device. This has the effect of reducing the operation of external devices to the minimum necessary. In addition, since it is possible to partially draw twice or three times, in order to obtain the desired drawing result, drawing time is delayed and paper is wasted due to redrawing the entire figure due to a defect in a part of the line segment. It has the effect of preventing
