[Detailed description of the invention] [Field of industrial application] The present invention provides a continuous terminal in which a terminal is formed by punching out a strip-shaped metal plate leaving a terminal forming part and a carrier part, and then bending and forming the remaining terminal forming part. It is related to.

Generally, the above-mentioned continuous terminals are formed by bending the terminal forming part, and then wound in a continuous state on a carrier part and packaged and shipped on a reel. The processing company unwraps the terminal from the reel and transfers it to the carrier part. In the case of a crimp terminal, the electric wire is crimped and fixed to the crimp part while the wire is moved on the line at the part, and in the case of a pressure contact terminal, it is moved as it is. After each terminal is removed from the carrier section, it is automatically loaded into the housing and assembled.

However, if the terminal has a bent part and there is a contact part there, the protruding bent part and eventually the contact part may be deformed by the pressure during winding into the reel. It may become stuck and cannot be used as a terminal.

To prevent such deformation, the terminal is cut from the carrier part and made into individual pieces, or if the terminal has a large bent part, it may not be possible to wind it on a reel as a continuous terminal. From the beginning, each terminal was cut off from the carrier section, separated into pieces, and then packaged.

Therefore, there were problems in that the packaging cost increased and the cost of assembling work increased significantly since the product could not be directly loaded into an automatic crimping device.

In view of the above-mentioned drawbacks of the conventional technology, the present invention does not deform the bent part or even the contact part even if it is wound around a reel, etc. Therefore, it can be applied to all types of terminals regardless of their shape. It was devised to provide a product that does not require much cost by using the parts that would normally be removed by punching. In continuous terminals that are integrally connected by connecting parts such as the above, at least the connecting part between each terminal on the side where the bent part is formed is made to stand up on the side where the bent part is formed, and a deformation prevention piece that is higher than the height of the bent part is erected. The continuous terminal is characterized by the following:

Hereinafter, the present invention will be explained in detail based on the embodiments shown in Figs. 1 to 3. In the figures, 1 is a continuous terminal according to the present invention, and a terminal 2 and a connecting portion at both upper and lower ends thereof. It is connected in one piece by Carrier 3. That is, a band-shaped metal plate is punched out leaving the terminal forming part and the connecting parts at both upper and lower ends thereof and the carrier 3, and the terminal forming part is bent and formed to form the terminal 2.
It is molded.

4 is a deformation prevention piece formed integrally with the carrier 3 at the lower end between the terminals 2, 2;
This is a deformation prevention piece that is formed integrally with the connecting part that is continuous at the upper end between the terminals 2, and is bent at right angles to the side where the bent part 2a of the terminal 2 is formed. The height H 1 of the pieces 4 and 5 is formed to be higher than the height H 2 of the bent portion 2a. Although the purpose of the present invention can be achieved by providing the deformation prevention pieces 4 and 5 only on the side where the bent portion 2a of the terminal 2 is formed, it is better to provide them at both the upper and lower ends, respectively, so that the deformation prevention pieces 4 and 5 can be wound onto the reel described later. It has the advantage of being easy to wind up without tilting.

These deformation prevention pieces 4 and 5 are for preventing the bending part 2a and eventually the contact part 2b from deforming due to the winding pressure when the continuous terminals 1 and 1 are wound around the reel 6 etc. When molding the terminal 2, it is molded integrally with the terminal 2 to prevent an increase in cost. In other words, the space between the terminals 2 is usually removed by punching with a press or the like, but during this punching,
Leaving the parts forming the deformation prevention pieces 4 and 5,
This is formed by further bending this part. Note that the deformation prevention pieces 4 and 5 may be formed by simply bending at right angles as shown in the figure, or by further bending their upper ends toward the center, so that the cross-sectional lateral L
It may be formed into a U-shaped cross section, or may be further bent to have a U-shaped cross section.

7 is a V-shaped notch formed at the starting end of the terminal 2 and the connecting part, and 8 is a V-shaped notch formed between the terminal 2 and the deformation prevention piece 4, respectively, to cut the terminal 2 from the connecting part and the carrier 3. This is to make it easier.

Therefore, when the continuous terminal 1 according to the present invention is wound around the reel 6 or the like, the bent portion 2a of the terminal 2 does not directly contact the continuous terminal 1 that has been wound before. That is, since the tips of the deformation prevention pieces 4 and 5 come into contact with the back surface of the continuous terminal 1 that was previously wrapped, the bent portion 2a, which is lower in height, and the contact portion 2b do not come into contact with each other, and no pressure is applied thereto. I've never had a problem deforming it because it doesn't apply.

In addition, in the above embodiment, the case of the continuous terminal 1 was explained in which both the upper and lower ends of the terminal 2 were connected by the connecting part and the carrier 3, but there is also a one-side continuous terminal in which only one end of the terminal 2 is connected by the carrier 3. Therefore, in this case, contrary to the case shown in the figure, the bent portion 2 of the terminal 2
A may be formed on the carrier 3 side, and the deformation prevention piece 4 may be formed on the carrier 3.

As described above, the continuous terminal according to the present invention is a continuous terminal in which one end or both ends of each terminal having a bent part are connected together by a connecting part such as a carrier, and at least the bent part between each terminal. Since the connecting part on the side where the curved part is formed stands up on the side where the bent part is formed, and the deformation prevention piece is set up higher than the height of the bent part, even if it is wound around a reel etc., the winding pressure will cause The bent part, and by extension the contact part, do not deform, making it possible to always provide highly reliable terminals, and also making it possible to wind terminals on reels, etc., even for terminals with complex shapes, which was previously impossible. It is possible to reduce packaging costs and installation work costs.

Moreover, since the deformation prevention piece is formed by bending the portion that was conventionally cut out by punching, it has various advantages such as being inexpensive.
