(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, in glass products that are patterned using this conventional method, since the patterns are on the surface of the product, the patterns may deteriorate and wear out as the product is used, or may deteriorate when washed with water. There was a problem with the pattern peeling off. In addition, especially in tableware, there is a problem in that the lead contained in the pigment of the pattern dissolves and causes lead poisoning.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The present invention has been made by focusing on the above-mentioned problems, and it is possible to create tableware by enclosing a pattern between a plurality of transparent glasses that are melt-bonded to each other. There is no need to worry about the pattern deteriorating or wearing out due to use, or the pattern peeling off when washed with water, and the pattern can always be maintained in a clear state.
This ensures that the risk of lead poisoning can be prevented.

In addition, in the manufacturing method of the present invention, transparent sheet glass is polymerized with a pattern interposed therebetween, and is placed on a mold having a recess that matches the shape of the tableware, and heated in this state. The glass sheets are melted and bonded together to enclose a pattern and are then molded along the inside of the recess of the mold.

FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, pigments are first applied to the surface of a sheet of glass 1 by hand or silk screen printing, or by transfer for use on ceramics, etc. A pattern 2 such as a picture is attached using paper or the like and left to dry at room temperature. In this case, the pigment used preferably has a firing temperature of 800 to 850°C, which is slightly lower than the melting temperature of the plate glass 1, 850°C.

After that, another plate glass 3 is superimposed on the surface of the plate glass 1 so as to sandwich the pattern 2, and placed on a mold body 5 having a recess 4 that matches the shape of tableware such as a plate.
As shown by the chain lines in FIG. 1, the plate glasses 1 and 3 are placed in a polymerized state, and in this state are placed in a heating furnace and heated. As a result, as shown by the solid line in FIG. According to the shape, it is molded into the shape of tableware such as a plate.

Then, after melting and bonding, the glass plates 1 and 3 are taken out of the heating furnace and allowed to cool naturally at room temperature, so that the bonded portion is hardened and a glass tableware in which the pattern 2 is encapsulated is formed.

Therefore, when using this glass tableware, there is no risk that the enclosed pattern 2 will peel off when washed with water, and there is no risk of lead poisoning caused by the lead contained in the pigment of pattern 2 leaching out. There is no risk of causing this.

In the method for manufacturing patterned glass tableware of the present invention, a pattern can be encapsulated by a simple method of polymerizing plate glass, placing it on a mold such as a plate, and heating and melting it. At the same time, it can be formed into the shape of a tableware, so it is easy to manufacture, and glass tableware having unevenness, such as a plate, can be efficiently manufactured. In addition, this manufacturing method has the advantage that since the pattern is applied to the flat glass plate in advance, the pattern can be easily added by hand.
