PCM audio signals of two left and right channels can be sufficiently recorded. The ElΔJ standard defines the audio signal format for digital recording as audio data sampled at a sampling frequency of 44.056 kl (z).
After quantization with 4 bits or 16 bits, an error correction code is added to form one block, which is arranged in the video signal portion of the video signal.

Generate check words P and Q for error correction. Then, each word is delayed by a delay time of 16 words from 0 to 112 words, and a cyclic code is added at the end to form a block corresponding to the horizontal scanning period.

Since double erasure correction is possible, any two words in the pre-delay block or 40 words that exist in 32 consecutive horizontal scanning periods
Burst error correction of 96 bits or less is possible, but
The standard P decoding method, which ignores the check word Q and is commonly used because the circuit configuration of the decoder is simplified, can only deal with burst errors of up to 2048 bits (256 bytes), and also cannot be interleaved. Since the necessary delay memory only provides a delay between I66 horizontal scans, there is a problem in that there is a limit to data interpolation when a burst error occurs.

The 200-byte data is subjected to interleaving processing that takes into account intermediate value interpolation during decoding and correction code processing using a double Reed-Solomon code. For this reason, 320
Of the 0 bytes of data, half, 1600 bytes, are recorded by rotating magnetic heads with different azimuths.

They are arranged on a memory map of 40 rows and 100 columns. In this case, each sample has either the upper bit (upper bit) or the lower bit (l) after the number indicating the sample number.
One sample of one channel is arranged using two adjacent columns, with suffixes u and I indicating whether the data is the upper bit or not. And even samples of the left channel (L2n
) and odd samples (L2n, ), and right channel odd samples (Rtn++) and even samples CRt distributed therein. ) are rows 49 and 50 in the center of the map.
Recording is performed by a rotating magnetic head that is separated by a line that separates the columns and has different azimuths on the left and right halves of the map. n is an integer from 0 to 399.

It is possible to estimate missing even samples and vice versa.

The data groups in the right half of the map arranged in up to 9 columns are recorded by rotating magnetic heads with different azimuths, so even if one rotating magnetic head becomes clogged or otherwise causes an accident, the other rotating magnetic head will not be affected. Intermediate value interpolation using the playback output ensures that left and right channels can be played back.

た効果を奏する。[Effects of the Invention] As explained above, the present invention classifies left and right channel audio signals converted into digital signals into an even sample group and an odd sample group for each channel. After performing double Reed-Solomon code processing on a memory map in which odd samples from the other channel are mixed with even samples from the other channel, and odd samples from one channel are mixed with even samples from the other channel, all data is processed. Since it is read out and recorded sequentially or in column order, by separating the even and odd samples of the audio signal on the memory map, it is possible to perform interleaving processing that takes into account intermediate value interpolation during decoding, thereby eliminating errors. It can also handle large-scale burst errors that exceed the correction ability of correction codes. In particular, if one channel performs intermediate value interpolation using odd samples, the other channel performs intermediate value interpolation using even samples, and so on. In addition, since the intermediate value interpolation sample position can be made different between both channels,
The auditory discomfort associated with intermediate value interpolation can be well suppressed, and the desired interleaving can be achieved simply by reading out the data written to the memory map in row order or column order, so it can be used as a delay memory. It is sufficient to use a single memory that can be written and read at any time without using delay elements, and in order to perform error correction processing using a double Reed-Solomon code on the memory map, a method that combines adjacent codes and cyclic codes, etc. It has excellent effects, such as being able to perform code correction with the same or several orders of magnitude higher correction ability than that of the conventional method.
