圧縮ガスが漏洩することは避けられなかつた。 Generally, a decompression device is used to reduce the force required to start the engine.By installing this device, it is possible to reduce the manual operation force of the starter in engines equipped with a recoil starter, etc., and in engines equipped with a starter motor. It is possible to reduce the size and weight of the starter by reducing its torque capacity. The structures of decompression devices that have been proposed in the past include those in which a cylinder is provided with a decompression hole for leaking compressed gas that is constantly in communication with the engine combustion chamber, and those in which a manual on-off valve (decompression valve) is provided in the decompression hole. There is. However, in the former device equipped with a constantly communicating decompression hole, compressed gas may leak even during normal operation, and in the latter structure equipped with a manual decompression valve, opening and closing the valve is troublesome. Furthermore, in any of the above devices, the decompression hole may be closed due to carbon deposition. In order to solve these problems, the applicant of the present invention proposed a new decompression device in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 15376/1983. This device has improved the shape of the decompression passage, etc., and has superior effects compared to the conventional product described above. However, even in the device of the above application, compressed gas leaks, albeit slightly, during normal operation. It was inevitable.

Attach a spring and connect the pressure chamber facing the diaphragm to a hydraulic pump driven by the crankshaft. When the engine speed exceeds a predetermined value, the diaphragm opens the decompression valve by the hydraulic pressure inside the hydraulic pump. The present invention provides an engine decompression device, characterized in that the decompression hole is moved to a closed position, and the outlet of the decompression hole is connected to an intake and exhaust passage of the engine.

Under normal engine operating conditions, the crankshaft 31 rotates the impeller 25 at high speed, so the discharge pressure of the water pump 22 is high, and this high pressure is introduced from the pipe 21 into the pressure chamber 20 and pushes the diaphragm 16, so the valve 2 is seated on the valve seat 11 against the elasticity of the spring 15 and the compressed gas in the combustion chamber 6, and the decompression hole 3
will be closed. Therefore, compressed gas (unburnt gas and combustion gas) from the combustion chamber 6 does not leak to the exhaust hole 5 through the decompression hole 3.

ターターを軽快に操作することができる。 Next, when a starting operation is performed using, for example, a recoil starter (not shown), the impeller 25 also starts rotating, but since the impeller rotation speed at the time of starting is low, the low output pressure is also low, and the diaphragm 16 from the pressure chamber 20
The force applied to it is also weak. Spring 15 therefore continues to hold valve 2 in the open position. In this way, the decompression hole 3 is kept open, so
Some of the compressed gas flows into the decompression hole 3 while the piston is rising.
The compressed gas leaks to the exhaust hole 5, and the pressure of the compressed gas is maintained low. Therefore, the rotational force (starting operation force) required of the crankshaft 31 is small, and the recoil starter can be operated easily.

As in the above startup operation, the decompression hole 3 is kept open and the pressure of the compressed gas is kept low. Therefore, the operating condition during idling is stable.

こともできる。 As explained above, according to the present invention, the decompression hole 3 that is opened and closed by the decompression valve 2 is provided in the inner circumference of the cylinder 1, and the diaphragm 16 for closing the valve and the return spring 15 for opening the valve are attached to the decompression valve 2. , diaphragm 1
The pressure chamber 20 facing 6 is connected to a water pump 22 for cooling water driven by a crankshaft 31, and when the engine speed exceeds a predetermined value (during normal operation), the hydraulic pressure inside the pump 22 pumps the diaphragm. 16 moves the decompression valve 2 to the closed position. Therefore, at the time of starting, the decompression hole 3 is opened to lower the pressure in the combustion chamber 6, reducing the force required for starting, and during normal operation, the decompression hole 3 is closed to prevent leakage of compressed gas.
The operating efficiency of the engine can be sufficiently increased. Moreover, since the valve 2 can be automatically opened and closed using, for example, the discharge pressure of the water pump 22, there is no need to operate the valve 2, and a series of engine starting operations can be simplified. By changing the elasticity of the return spring 15, the area of the diaphragm 16, etc., the operating characteristics (opening/closing timing and opening/closing force) of the valve 2 can be set to optimal values according to the application and specifications of the engine. Further, the operating characteristics of the valve 2 can be set so that carbon is difficult to accumulate in the decompression hole 3.

(i.e., in exact correspondence to whether the engine is in a starting operating state), and therefore the valve 2 can be actuated accurately and reliably.
