Generally, railway vehicles are used by interconnecting a plurality of vehicles in order to transport a large number of passengers and a large amount of cargo. A through passage is provided at the connecting portion of the connected vehicles so that passengers, crew members, etc. can move freely between the vehicles. This through-path is formed by connecting through-holes opened in the end faces of each vehicle with hollow plates. This through hole simplifies vehicle connection work, simplifies structure,
It is located in the center of the vehicle widthwise on the gable side to enable smooth movement of passengers and crew between vehicles.

However, in a railway vehicle, in order to provide the through hole in the driver's cab where the driver's cab is installed and to provide a front door to open and close the through hole, it was necessary to satisfy many design conditions such as the following. .

That is, due to its function and configuration, the driver's cab requires sufficient space and forward visibility, and also requires various devices for driving operations. These various devices include a master controller for speed control,
It consists of a brake valve for braking, various instruments, equipment operation switches, safety equipment, etc., and these must be installed in a place that is within reach of the driver during operation. Furthermore, brake valves, pressure gauges, etc. must be pneumatically connected to each vehicle, and other switches must be electrically connected to each vehicle, but this pneumatic and electrical connection is important. This requires extremely difficult work to release the through hole every time a through hole is formed in the driver's cab. Furthermore, when a through hole is formed, it is necessary to isolate the operating equipment from the passenger compartment, and a through path must also be provided to communicate the through hole and the passenger compartment.

In order to satisfy such design conditions, conventionally, the first
~2 As shown in Figure 2, a driver's cab 2 is provided in a corner on the left side of the railway vehicle 1, and an operation control device 3 consisting of various devices and a driver's seat 4 are provided in the driver's cab 2 to form a driver's cab 5. (For example, in 1987-
(See Publication No. 131866). A front door 8 for opening and closing is provided in the through hole 7 opened in the center of the gable side 6, and a partition plate 10 that can be opened and closed is provided between the driver's cab 2 and the passenger compartment 9 to separate the two compartments. It is provided. During operation, the front door 8 closes the through hole 7 as shown in FIG. is opened inward, and the partition plate 10 is opened to the inside of the driver's cabin, and the through hole 7 and the passenger compartment 9 are opened.
A through passage 11 is formed to communicate with the passenger compartment 9, and the driver's cab 2 is isolated from the passenger compartment 9 by a partition plate 10.

However, in the conventional cab with the above structure,
Due to constraints related to the width of the vehicle and the width of the passageway and front door, the width of the driver's cab is narrowed, and the width of the driver's cabin is shifted to one side of the vehicle, which is undesirable because the forward view is also narrowed and shifted. There was this inconvenience.

In addition, in railway vehicles that are operated by one person, there is a possibility that station platforms are on both sides of the vehicle, which are different from those in the case of buses, so entrance and exit doors are placed on both the left and right sides of the vehicle and near the driver's cabin. . In such a type of railway vehicle, it is desirable to provide the driver's cab in the center of the vehicle.
However, when the driver's cab is provided in the center of the vehicle, it is difficult to provide a through hole.

In this way, since the flexible hose 58 is used, even if the front door 24 is swung about the pivot point 25, the connection state between the two can be maintained well.
Furthermore, since the flexible hose 58 is rotated once in the middle, the flexible hose 58 follows the rotation of the front door 24 and bends well. This embodiment utilizes air hoses and jumper wires to connect adjacent vehicles. Generally, when a driver's cab is provided, the air hose/jumper line 63 is not needed because the driver's cab is located at the front end of the train. In this embodiment, this air hose
A jumper wire 63 is also provided at the front end of the driver's cab, and a hose receiver or jumper wire receiver 64 with a front door 24 is installed.
The control unit 27 is connected to the driver's cab to connect the operation control device 27, air source, and electric control unit (FIGS. 16 and 17). On the other hand, when using a through path,
Connect the air hose jumper wires 63 of adjacent vehicles (Fig. 18).

Since the driver's cab for a railway vehicle of the present invention is constructed and operates in this way, the driver's cab can be provided in the center in the width direction of the vehicle, and the driving control device and the driver's seat can be stored in the vehicle. It is possible to form a through passage that communicates the hole and the passenger compartment with each other, and it is also possible to switch between using the driver's cab and using the through passage in an extremely short time and with ease.

To explain further, since the driver's cab can be installed in the center of the vehicle, a sufficiently spacious driver's cab can be secured even in a vehicle with a narrow body, and sufficient forward visibility can be obtained to ensure safe driving. In addition, entry and exit doors can be provided on the left and right side walls of the vehicle and immediately behind the driver's cab, which has the effect of facilitating one-man operation.

In other words, by using a single-vehicle vehicle that can be operated by a single person, it is possible to create a one-man-operated vehicle that connects multiple vehicles, which requires one person per vehicle. 1 person
The number of people in the group can be reduced to one. Also,
Even if the platform is not long enough, passengers can board and alight as long as there is a platform that is the length of one car. Furthermore, the number of vehicles can be increased or decreased according to changes in the number of passengers.
