Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent sea pollution emitted from an offshore structure by forming recessed and protruding parts which fit with each other to the upper ends of support columns and the bottom surface of a platform ship. CONSTITUTION:Supports 1 are preliminarily transported to an anchoring sea area and the lower ends thereof are fixed to the bottom of the sea. After a platform ship 3 is loaded with sewage, the platform ship 3 is towed to the sea area, where the supports columns are constructed, by a tugboat. The platform ship 3 is sunk by injecting seawater ballast in a buoyancy control tank to fit the protruding parts 7 thereof into the recessed parts 4 provided to the upper ends of the support columns and fixed to the upper ends of the supports 1 in a freely detachable manner. Thereafter, sewage is treated with a sewage treatment plant 2 arranged on the platform ship 3. When treated water is discharged to the sea and the treatment of all of the sewage received in the platform ship 3 is completed, the platform ship 3 is floated to remove the protruding parts 7 from the recessed parts 4. By this method, a shortage of treatment facilities can be eliminated.

Conventional Technology and Problems with the Invention Facilities to treat wastewater such as human waste and sewage have traditionally been built on land, but in recent years, the lack of treatment facilities has become a social problem, especially in urban areas. The construction of additional treatment facilities is required. However, securing land for constructing treatment facilities is becoming extremely difficult both physically and economically. Furthermore, sewage treatment facilities on land discharge treated water into rivers, which poses a problem of contamination.

Function In the first marine sewage treatment structure described above, the support is transported to the installation sea area in advance, and its lower end is fixed to the seabed. A barge loaded with sewage is towed to the area where the pillars are erected. Then, by lowering the barge, the unevenness is fitted into each other, and the barge is removably fixed to the upper end of the column. After that, the wastewater is treated with the trough water treatment equipment installed on the barge. The treated water will be released into the sea.

In the second marine sewage treatment structure, a barge loaded with sewage is towed to the treatment sea area. The barge is then fixed by lowering the movable legs and allowing the lower ends to touch the seabed. The wastewater is then treated in the wastewater treatment equipment installed on the barge. The treated water will be released into the sea. Once all of the sewage on the barge has been treated, the movable legs are lifted, the barge is released, and the barge is towed to land to be loaded with new sewage.

Effects of the Invention According to the marine sewage treatment structure of the present invention, it becomes possible to treat sewage on the sea as described above. Therefore, the shortage of treatment facilities can be solved. Also,
Unlike land-based sewage treatment facilities, there is no need to secure land for construction of the treatment facility, making it economical. Moreover, since treated water can be discharged directly into the sea, pollution of rivers can also be prevented.
