The present invention relates to a friction type continuously variable transmission which is equipped with a plurality of tapered cones that are driven and rotated, and in which an output driven rotary body is externally or internally connected to the tapered cones so as to be shiftable in the axial direction.

くつくにもかかわらず実用上に難点がある。In general, there are two methods of pressing and biasing the taper cone, one using hydraulic pressure and the other using a spring. In the case of using hydraulic pressure, if the pressure oil supply is stopped, the pressure and bias will no longer be applied, and the contact between the taper cone and the driven rotating body will be reduced. Although the cost is high when using hydraulic pressure, it has the advantage that the speed change operation of the driven rotor can be performed even when the engine is running and the vehicle is not running, such as when the engine is idling. In this case, the suppressing biasing action of the spring exists independently of the engine, so even if the engine is running, if the vehicle is not running, the taper rotor is at rest, so the driven rotor is placed on the cone surface. Although the cost is low, it is difficult to use in practice because it cannot be operated to change gears.

In this case, the clutch must have a large capacity, which increases its cost and reduces the advantage of using a low-cost spring.

To realize a friction type continuously variable transmission device that presses and biases a taper cone by using a spring, which can perform gear shifting even when the engine is running but the vehicle is not running, such as when idling, and at a low cost. With the goal.

A planetary gear type speed reduction mechanism for output is provided, and the sun gear of this speed reduction mechanism and the drive shaft are interlocked via a clutch.

We were able to keep the cost low while still being able to shift gears even when the engine is running but the vehicle is not driving, such as when idling.

The rotation speed of the internal gear (5) which supports the internal gear (5) so as to be shiftable in the axial direction can be changed steplessly, so that the speed can be changed steplessly. A2) is connected, the taper cone (3) is driven and rotated by the input shaft (2), but if the tension clutch (A1) is disengaged and the sun gear (6) is free, the taper cone (3) is rotated by the input shaft (2). The sun gear (6) is driven to idle through the rotation of the internal gear (5) that supports the driven rotating body (4) that rotates in contact with the cone (3) or through the rotation of the planetary gear (29). As a result, the planetary gear (29) no longer revolves, and no output is transmitted beyond this reduction mechanism (C). Therefore, by disengaging the tension clutch (A1), it is possible to perform a gear shift operation even when the engine is running but the vehicle is not running, such as when the vehicle is idling.
