Not only that, but the crucible base itself may dissolve into the molten metal, causing a decrease in the purity of the molten metal.

A ceramic coating layer (corrosion-resistant layer) of yttoria (Y2O3), hafnia (HfO2), etc., which has superior corrosion resistance and heat resistance to Zr5U, etc., is usually applied. Furthermore, in a crucible provided with such a ceramic coating layer, there is a difference in thermal expansion coefficient between the ceramic and the crucible base material, so there is a risk that the ceramic layer may peel off due to thermal stress.

。(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) When Ti metal is heated and melted using an appropriate means in the crucible configured as described above, the inner surface of the ceramic coating layer 3 in contact with the molten Ti metal 5, The temperature range of the outer surface of the base material l in contact with the cooling hearth 4 is 1.500 to 2.200 degrees. At that time, the thermal conductivity of the ceramic coating layer material Y2O3 of the corrosion-resistant layer is
Since it is significantly smaller than the graphite of the base material 1, most of this temperature difference occurs in the corrosion-resistant coating layer 3. An example of the temperature distribution in the thickness direction of the crucible is the fifth
As shown in Figure (b). Therefore, thermal stress is generated due to this temperature difference, and this thermal stress may cause peeling or damage of the coating layer 3. That is, in such a conventional crucible, the base material 1 and the base coating layer 2
, and base coating layer 2 and corrosion-resistant coating layer 3
This is because they are merely mechanically bonded without any chemical reaction, and their adhesion is relatively low.

Since it has ~30% pores, the Ti molten metal 5 penetrates into the pores 6, contacts the base coating layer 2 and the base coating layer 1, and reacts as the case may be. There was a risk that the corrosion-resistant coating layer 3 would peel off and the base material 1 would be eroded.

In the case of atmospheric plasma spraying, the presence of oxygen forms an oxide film on the surface of the crucible substrate that reduces the adhesion strength of the coating layer. In addition, in an Ar atmosphere, as in the case of atmospheric plasma spraying, high melting point metals may absorb oxygen and nitrogen and become brittle. Furthermore, under reduced pressure, plasma can be formed for a long time and the sprayed material can be easily melted and accelerated, which can suppress the formation of pores in the formed film and create a base coating layer with a low porosity. It is possible to form.

It is effective to sputter and clean at least the inner surface of the substrate 1 prior to the formation of the substrate. That is,
Since the crucible substrate of the present invention is made of a high melting point metal that is easily oxidized, there is a possibility that an oxide film is formed on its surface that reduces interlayer adhesion. Therefore, if this oxide film is removed by sputtering cleaning, the interlayer adhesion can be further improved.

For example, the Ta layer 2 in Examples 1 and 2 was formed by the low-pressure plasma spraying method in an A gas atmosphere of 150 mbar, under the conditions of a current of 750 AS, a voltage of 63 V, and a spraying distance of 270 m+s. The Y2O3 layer 3 in Example 1 was formed in the atmosphere under conditions of a current of 750 A, a voltage of 49 V, and a spraying distance of 120 mm.The sprayed film thickness was 1 m+a for Ta,
In the case of 203, the thickness was 250 μm.

ち第4図に示す通りるつぼ基材において生ずる。It can be seen that both the Ta layer as the base coating layer 2 in Table 1 and the Y2O3 layer as the corrosion-resistant coating layer 3 are densified by being formed by the low-pressure plasma spraying method. In other words, in the Ta layer, the porosity increases from 11.9% to 1.2 to 1.2% when low-pressure plasma spraying is used instead of atmospheric plasma spraying.
It is reduced to 1.8%, and even in the Y2O3 layer it is 6.5~
It was reduced from 6.8% to 1.1%. Furthermore, a breaking test was conducted to determine the interlaminar adhesion strength, and the adhesion strength and the location of the breakage were as shown in FIG. From these results, it can be seen that the adhesion strength is clearly improved by using the reduced pressure plasma spraying method. In particular, when both the Ta layer and the Y203 layer are formed by low pressure plasma spraying, the adhesion strength is more than three times that of when they are formed by atmospheric pressure plasma spraying, and as shown in Figure 4, the adhesion strength is more than three times that of the case where the Ta layer and Y203 layer are formed by atmospheric pressure plasma spraying. Occurs in wood.
