Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明はディスクユニットに関する。
〔従来の技術〕
従来、ディスクユニットは、数枚のディスクをもち、各
ディスクの記録面に、磁気ヘッドをそれぞれ１個配置し
て、記録および再生を行なっている。
〔発明が解決しようとする課題〕
上述した従来のディスクユニットは、磁気ディスクの記
録面出りに磁気ヘッドが１個しかなかったので、磁気デ
ィスクに同時に記録または再生するようなことはできな
かった。
また、一般に磁気ディスクはシーク時間が長く、記録ま
たは再生に時間がかかるという問題がある。
さらに、磁気ディスクの記録容量を増大させるために、
例えばトラック数を増加させて記録密度を上げた場合、
ステップモータ式のドライブの場合においては、最大シ
ーク時間が増大するという欠点があった。
本発明の目的は、Ｌ記の事情に鑑み、記録と再生が同時
にでき、シーク時間が短くできるとともに、磁気ディス
クの記録容量を増大させても、最大シーク時間が増大し
ないディスクユニットを提供することにある。
〔課題を解決するための手段〕
本発明のディスクユニットは、情報を記録・再生する磁
気ディスクの記録面に、ｌ記録面あたりに複数個の磁気
ヘッドを備えたものである。
〔作用〕
磁気ディスクの記録面に、磁気ヘッドを複数設けである
ので、記録と再生が同時にでき、また各磁気ヘッドの分
担エリアを定めることによってシーク時間を短くできる
。
〔実施例〕
以下、本発明の一実施例を図面を参照して説明する。
第１図は本発明の一実施例のディスクユニットの概略構
成図で、第２図はこの実施例の制御方法を示す説明図で
、第３図はこの実施例の別の制御方法を示す説明図であ
る。この実施例では、磁気ヘッドが４個等角度で配こさ
れている。
図において、１は磁気ディスクで、２〜５が磁気ヘッド
で、記録・再生を行なう。
次に第１図に示した、実施例のディスクユニットの制御
方法を第２図を参照して説明する。
２′〜５′は、磁気ヘッド２〜５とその駆動回路、６〜
９はそれぞれの制御ロジックで、各磁気ヘッド２〜５を
すべて独立に個々に制御する場合である。
また、第３図に示すように、１つの制御ロジックｌＯを
用い、ヘッド選択回路１１を付加して、磁気ディスクｌ
の記録または再生面金分割して、各エリア（トラック）
ごとに磁気ヘッド２〜５を割当て、ヘッド選択回路１１
で磁気ヘッドを選択して記録または再生を行なう。
第４図は、同一アーム上に、２個の磁気ヘッド１２．１
３を装着した場合である。
〔発明の効果〕
以上説明したように、本発明では、情報を記録・再生す
る磁気ディスクの記録面に、１記録面当りに複数個の磁
気ヘッドを備えたので、記録と再生が同時にでき、また
シーク時間が短くできるとともに、磁気ディスクの記録
容Ｍ−を増大させても、最大シーク時１１が増大しない
という優れた効果がある。
