Description
〔産業上の利用分野〕
本考案は、電線ケーブルに使用する電気絶縁用
難燃性粘着性ポリエチレンテープに関するもので
ある。
〔従来の技術とその問題点〕
従来、高圧配電線の接続部等に用いられる電気
絶縁用粘着テープとしてよく用いられるのにポリ
エチレンを基材とし、その片面に、ブチルゴム系
粘着剤層を設けた構造の粘着性ポリエチレンテー
プがあり、セパレータのいらない粘着性電気絶縁
性テープとして主流を占めている。しかし、この
型の絶縁性テープは、特に海岸に近い所で用いら
れる場合、塩害によりトラツキングが発生し、絶
縁破壊に至る場合がある。耐トラツキング性を持
つ粘着性テープとして合成ゴムを基材としたもの
が用いられている場合もあるがこのテープはセパ
レータを必要とするため施工時の作業性が悪く、
また合成ゴムを加硫する必要があるため粘着性ポ
リエチレンテープと比べてコストがかかるといつ
た欠点があつた。なお難燃性については何れも考
慮されていなかつた。
〔問題点を解決するための手段〕
本考案は上記の欠点を解消すべく考案されたも
ので、第1図に示すように水和アルミナまたは水
酸化マグネシウムを配合して酸素指数21以上とし
たノンハロゲン難燃性ポリエチレンフイルム1の
片面に、ブチルゴムをベースポリマーとして水和
アルミナまたは水酸化マグネシウムを配合して酸
素指数21以上とした組成物からなる粘着剤層2を
設けたことを特徴とするものである。
水和アルミナまたは水酸化マグネシウムは耐ト
ラツキング性を高めるのに有効なもので、かつノ
ンハロゲン難燃剤としても有効なものである。基
材であるノンハロゲン難燃性ポリエチレンフイル
ム1の酸素指数を21以上としたのは21未満ではテ
ープにした場合自己消火性がなくなるからであ
る。粘着剤層2は粘着性の良いブチルゴムをベー
スポリマーとして用い、これに耐トラツキング
性、難燃性を付与させるために水和アルミナまた
は水酸化マグネシウムを配合したものであり、酸
素指数21以上としたのは21未満では基材の場合と
同様にテープとしての自己消火性がなくなるから
である。
一方、水和アルミナまたは水酸化マグネシウム
を配合したノンハロゲン難燃性ポリエチレンフイ
ルム1は配合しない通常のポリエチレンフイルム
3に比べ粘着性が大きいという特性があり、この
ため、粘着剤層2として粘着力の大きいものを用
いるとテープを巻き戻す時ブロツキングを起こす
場合がある。この場合には第2図に示すようにノ
ンハロゲン難燃性ポリエチレンフイルム1の片面
は通常のポリエチレンフイルム3を貼合した型、
または第3図に示すようにノンハロゲン難燃性ポ
リエチレンフイルム1の片面に離型剤層4を設け
た型のものを用いるとよい。
〔実施例 1〜5〕
第1表に示すように、水和アルミナまたは水酸
化マグネシウムを配合して酸素指数21以上とした
5種のノンハロゲン難燃性ポリエチレンフイルム
の片面に、ブチルゴムをベースポリマーとして水
和アルミナまたは水酸化マグネシウムを配合して
酸素指数21以上とした粘着剤層を設けた粘着性ポ
リエチレンテープ厚さ0.5mm×巾20mm×長さ5m
を作製し、各々の粘着性ポリエチレンテープにつ
いて、巻き戻し性(JIS Z 0237)、難燃性(JIS
C 3005)、耐トラツキング性(JIS C 3005)
の特性について試験を行なつた。得られた結果は
第1表に併記したように巻き戻し性、難燃性、耐
トラツキング性ともに良好であつた。
〔比較例 1〜4〕
第1表に示すように水和アルミナまたは水酸化
マグネシウムを配合しない通常のポリエチレンフ
イルムに水和アルミナまたは水酸化マグネシウム
を配合しない酸素指数20の粘着力の小さい粘着剤
層を設けた粘着性ポリエチレンテープ(比較例
1)、同じく粘着力の大きい粘着剤層を設けた粘
着性ポリエチレンテープ(比較例2)、水和アル
ミナまたは水酸化マグネシウムを配合して酸素指
数28としたノンハロゲン難燃性ポリエチレンフイ
ルムの片面に、水和アルミナまたは水酸化マグネ
シウムを配合しない酸素指数20の粘着剤層を設け
た粘着性ポリエチレンテープ(比較例3,4)を
実施例1と同様の寸法に作製し、実施例1と同様
の試験を行なつた。得られた結果は第1表に併記
したように巻き戻し性は良好であつたが難燃性、
耐トラツキング性は不良であつた。

Another drawback was that it was more expensive than adhesive polyethylene tape because it required vulcanization of the synthetic rubber. Incidentally, no consideration was given to flame retardancy. [Means for solving the problems] The present invention was devised to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks, and as shown in Figure 1, hydrated alumina or magnesium hydroxide is blended to give an oxygen index of 21 or more. It is characterized by providing on one side of a non-halogen flame retardant polyethylene film 1 an adhesive layer 2 made of a composition made of butyl rubber as a base polymer and blended with hydrated alumina or magnesium hydroxide to give an oxygen index of 21 or more. It is. Hydrated alumina or magnesium hydroxide is effective in increasing tracking resistance and is also effective as a non-halogen flame retardant. Adhesive layer 2 uses butyl rubber with good adhesiveness as a base polymer, and contains hydrated alumina or magnesium hydroxide to impart tracking resistance and flame retardancy, and has an oxygen index of 21 or more. This is because if it is less than 21, the tape loses its self-extinguishing properties, as in the case of the base material. On the other hand, the non-halogen flame-retardant polyethylene film 1 containing hydrated alumina or magnesium hydroxide has a characteristic of greater adhesiveness than the ordinary polyethylene film 3 that does not contain hydrated alumina or magnesium hydroxide. ルミナを配合して酸素指数23とした組成物からな
る粘着剤層を設け、該粘着剤層を設けた面と反対
の面に離型剤層を設けた粘着性ポリエチレンテー
プを実施例1と同様の寸法に作製し、実施例1と
同様の試験を行なつた。得られた結果は第2表に
併記したように巻き戻し性、難燃性、耐トラツキ
ング性ともに良好であつた。
〔比較例 5〕
第2表に示すように水酸化マグネシウムを配合
して酸素指数28としたノンハロゲン難燃性ポリエ
チレンフイルムの片面に、ブチルゴムをベースポ
リマーとして水和アルミナを配合して酸素指数23
とした組成物からなる粘着剤層を設けた粘着性ポ
リエチレンテープを実施例1と同様の寸法に作製
し、実施例1と同様の試験を行なつた。得られた
結果は第2表に併記したように難燃性、耐トラツ
キング性については良好であつたが巻き戻し性が
不良であつた。
