This invention aims to obtain a mold.

This causes variations in the cooling rate of hot water in each part. In other words, the cooling rate is faster in parts with smaller wall thickness;
Larger parts will be slower. For this reason, defects such as hardening and cracking due to rapid cooling are likely to occur in thin-walled portions, and defects such as shrinkage cavities and porosity are likely to occur in thick-walled portions, resulting in poor product quality.

The width of the space 2 varies depending on the location, and a thick part 4 and a thin part 5 are formed in the cast product obtained by cooling and solidifying the hot water 3. 6 is a heat pipe, and as shown in Fig. 2, a working fluid 7 is inserted into the pipe.
It receives heat from one end to heat up or evaporate the working fluid, radiates heat at the other end, and condenses the evaporated fluid. The heat pipe 6 is assembled into the molds 1a and 1b so that one end is located near the thick wall portion 4 and the other end is located near the thin wall portion 5, respectively. Note that heat pipes are well known, so a detailed explanation is omitted, and illustrations of a mechanism for circulating condensed fluid (for example, a structure with a large capillary force made by stacking thin wire meshes) are also omitted.

上述のような種々の欠陥の発生を防止できる。 Since the casting mold of the present invention is constructed as described above, hot water 3 is placed in the space 2 surrounded by the molds 1a and 1b.
When the hot water 3 is poured, as the hot water 3 cools, the heat in the thick wall portion 4 is transferred to the thin wall portion 5 by the action of the heat pipe 6 as shown by the arrow in the figure, thereby reducing the temperature difference between the two portions 4 and 5. Therefore, the hot water 3 in the space 2 is cooled almost uniformly throughout, and the various defects described above due to non-uniform cooling rates can be prevented from occurring.

なく、本発明と別異のものである In addition, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 1983-98331 describes that a coolant flow path is formed in the mold and the coolant flow rate is adjusted to increase the cooling power for thick-walled parts and weaken the cooling power for thin-walled parts. However, this method is designed only to cool the mold, and heat is transferred between the thick wall part and the thin wall part to advance cooling of the thick wall part.
This is different from the present invention, which cools the thin-walled portion slowly and cools the hot water uniformly as a whole. Furthermore, JP-A-50-148227 describes cooling or heating a mold using a heat pipe, but this method cools or heats the entire mold,
This method is different from the present invention because it does not transfer the heat near the thick part of a mold for casting an article having thick and thin parts to the vicinity of the thin part.
