Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the dangerous incomplete closure of a discharge port due to water leakage by setting a O-ring on the wall surface of a cylinder which comes into contact with the inner circumference of the piston and the periphery of the piston respectively, in a water-sealing mechanism. CONSTITUTION:If the outer bottom 15 of a bowl is raised by injecting sealing water into an annular cylinder 14 while the main body 1 of the bowl is rotated, a discharge port 6 is closed. Then if a liquid to be treated is introduced into the main body 1 of the bowl and is allowed to undergo centrifugal separation, a solid component of high specific gravity is accumulated near the side wall of the main body 1 of the bowl. At that time, the sealing water in a cylinder which raises the outer bottom of the bowl and maintains it in that condition does not leak due to the sealing action of the rings 24, 26 mounted on the engagement surface between a piston 16 and the cylinder 14. Subsequently, the discharge port closing action of the inner bottom 7 of the bowl does not fail.

(Prior Art) For example, in a centrifugal clarifier used to separate and remove solids contained in a radioactive waste liquid, the waste liquid is generally placed in a bowl and rotated to perform a centrifugal separation action. The radioactive solids that have accumulated on the inner wall of the outer periphery of the bowl are automatically discharged by opening a discharge port that can be opened and closed on the wall of the bowl at the appropriate time. are kept closed by a sealing mechanism using water pressure, for example.

In such a centrifugal clarifier, for example, as shown in Fig. 3, a waste liquid is put into a bowl main body 1 fixed to a rotating shaft 2 and rotated at high speed, the waste liquid is centrifuged, and the separated solids are transferred to a bowl. It is designed to be discharged from a discharge port 6 provided on the side wall of the main body 1, but the discharge port 6 is closed for a period of time due to centrifugal separation, and when a certain amount of solids have collected, it is opened for a short time to discharge the solids. It is supposed to be done.

In order to perform such an action, the bottom of the bowl main body 1 has a triple structure sandwiched between an inner bowl bottom 7 and an outer bowl bottom 15 that slide up and down by water pressure, and a water sealing supply pipe 10. The pressure of the sealed water introduced into the space 13 between the bowl inner bottom 7 and the bowl main body 1 through the seal water distributor @ 9 pushes up the bowl inner bottom 7 and presses it against the seal ring 8 (pulls it) to close the discharge port 6. are doing.

The sealing water is also led to a cylinder 14 provided in the sealing water distribution mechanism 9, pushing a piston 16 to push up the bowl outer bottom 15 connected thereto. The bowl outer bottom 15 closes off the water pipe 19 leading to the space 13 by means of a valve stopper 20 attached thereto, thereby preventing leakage of the sealed water filling the space 13.

When a certain amount of solids has accumulated, the bowl outer bottom 15 is lowered to unblock the water pipe 19 by the valve stopper 20, and the water filling the space 13 is allowed to flow out, and the bowl inner bottom 7 is lowered and drained. In addition to the water sealing pressure, this seal ring 25 is subjected to pressure due to centrifugal force due to rotation, so the upper edge in particular expands and deforms, as shown in FIG. 5, and this causes the sealing water to leak. Something happened. In this case, the pushing force of the bowl outer bottom 15 is reduced, so that the partitioning action of the pressure release valve 20 is also reduced, the sealing water in the space 13 leaks, and the closing function of the discharge port 6 is impaired.

A rotational force is applied to the rotating shaft 2 from an appropriate power source (not shown), and while rotating the bowl body 1 and the members attached thereto, an external water source (not shown) is applied through the water sealing supply pipe 10.
When pressurized sealed water is supplied to the sealed water distribution mechanism 9, the inner bottom part 7 of the bowl rises due to the sealed water that has flowed into the space 13, and the sealing water is subjected to a greater pressurizing force as it moves away from the rotating shaft 2 due to centrifugal force. The seal ring 8 is strongly pressed to close the discharge port 6.

If the processing liquid is injected into the inner cavity of the distributor 4 from above, centrifugal separation will occur within the bowl main body 1, and liquid components with light specific gravity, for example, will pass through the separation plate 5 and gather in the center. It rises along the outer wall of the distributor 4 and is extruded by a discharge means (not shown) provided at the top. On the other hand, solid components having a heavy specific gravity, for example, are gradually accumulated on the inner outer periphery of the bowl body 1 near the discharge port 6.

That is, when the water pressure of the sealed water supplied from the sealed water supply pipe 10 is increased for a short period of time, for example, for several seconds, the sealed water held by the centrifugal force in the sealed water distribution space of the sealed water distribution mechanism 9 increases, and the As the vertical water surface moves closer to the rotation axis 2, the tip of the water pipe 28, which was previously outside the water surface, becomes submerged in water.
Sealed water flows into the space 18 through the water pipe 28. This water sealing pressure suppresses the upward force of the screws 16 and the bowl outer bottom surface 15 descends, so that the valve stopper 20 leaves the opening of the water pipe 19 and the sealed water in the space 13 flows out into the space 18. As a result, the inner bottom portion 7 of the bowl falls because the water sealing pressure in the space 13 is reduced, the discharge port 6 is unclosed, and the solid components are discharged by centrifugal force. The sealed water that has flowed into the space 18 passes through the nozzle 22 and the through hole 21 passes through the nozzle 23 and is immediately discharged outside the bowl main body 1, so the bowl outer bottom 15 is pushed again by the piston 16 after a short time. The water pipe 19 is closed, the inner bottom part 7 of the bowl is raised, and the discharge port 6 is returned to the closed state.

The piston 16 is connected to the cylinder 14 when discharging the solid components mentioned above.
In addition to moving up and down inside the cylinder 14, the O-ring 26 and the O-ring 24 are located close to the upper end of the cylinder 14 and receive sealing pressure for most of the time during centrifugation. Since it is sufficiently sealed, water will not leak from here, and the raised position of the bowl outer bottom 15 will be reliably maintained, and the closing function of the discharge port 6 will not be impaired accordingly. .

According to the present invention, the opening and closing of the discharge port for the high specific gravity components separated by the centrifugal clarifier is not hindered by the leakage of the sealing water that drives this, so that the centrifugal separation of the treated liquid can be performed efficiently. In addition, there is an effect that the discharge action of high specific gravity components can be carried out reliably.
