Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the lining operation of a lining, and to enhance the accuracy of a groove by winding a brake band around the outer circumference of a jig which has a groove with projected parts, so that a grove can be provided in the lining. CONSTITUTION:A lining 16 is adhered on the inner circumferential surface of a band-shaped metallic member 10 to which brackets 12, 14 are fitted at both ends. A brake band is wound around the outer circumference of a groove- fitted jig 18. On the outer circumference of the groove-fitted jig 18, a circumferential projected part 20 and axial projected parts 22, 24 are provided. Then, a tightening force further greater than that at the ordinary application time is applied to the brackets 12, 14 of the brake band having been wound around the groove-fitted jig 18. Thus, the lining operation of a lining can be facilitated, and the accuracy of the groove can be enhanced.

法が知られている。すなわち、1つの方法は、あらかじ
め分割したライニングを帯状金属部材に張り付け、ライ
ニングを張り付けてない部分によってみぞを形成するよ
うにしたものである。もう1つの方法は、帯状金属部材
に平坦なライニングを張り付けた後、みぞの部分を切削
加工する方法である。

このような課題を解決することを目的としている。

いる。次いで、みぞ付け治具18に巻き付けたブレーキ
バンドのブラケット12及び14に通常の使用時におけ
る締結力よりも更に大きい締付力Fを作用する。これに
よりライニング16が凸形状部20.22及び24に押
し付けられ、この部分だけが圧縮される。こうすること
によって凸形状部20.22及び24に対応する部分の
ライニングが塑性変形し、第4図に示すようなみぞ30
