Abstract

PURPOSE:To securely turn a page by a page-turning roller, by forming the page-turning roller, which constitutes a passbook page turning mechanism, by using an elastic material having a high coefficient of friction and showing little variation in pressure with a variation in deformation quantity. CONSTITUTION:A passbook 1 inserted from an inserter 2 is drawn into a printer by a feeding roller pair 3, then data recorded in a magnetic stripe 30 provided on a cover of the passbook is read, and the passbook is fed into a printing part. When it is necessary to print on another page of the passbook 1, the passbook 1 is fed into a passbook page-turning mechanism part, in which the page of the passbook 1 is turned by a page-turning roller 9 driven by a motor 22. The roller 9 is a roller coated with a comparatively soft rubber showing little variation in pressure. The rubber material has a high coefficient of friction and high wear resistance. With the passbook 1 set in position, the page-turning roller 9 is driven counterclockwise by the motor 22 to turn up the uppermost page and feed out the page upward. The passbook 1 is held at a stopped position by a frictional force between the cover thereof and a page-turning pad 20, while the page is turned.

This device obtains the force necessary for page turning from the reaction force of the "push" that presses the bankbook against the page changing roller and the frictional force between the page changing roller and the page to be turned in the bankbook. Moreover, the push rod itself was not provided with a means for holding a passbook.

The page change roller used in the above-mentioned conventional technology has a relationship between the amount of deformation of the roller and the force as shown in Figure 4, and is compatible with changes in the thickness of the passbook due to differences in true numbers. Therefore, the force necessary for turning the pages is obtained from the pressing force of the push bar and the frictional force between the page change roller and the page to be turned of the passbook. A drive source and the like are required to drive it, making the mechanism complicated and expensive.

In addition, in the above conventional technology, the fixing of the passbook when changing pages is entrusted to the conveyance rollers, so the conveyance rollers must be fixed so that they do not rotate when changing pages. However, if the force of turning the passbook page is large enough to cause the passbook to move in the direction of rotation of the page change roller, or if the relationship between the forces is unbalanced, the passbook may move. There was a problem with it tilting.

The above-mentioned object of the present invention is to provide a passbook printing device having a printing unit and a passbook page changing mechanism, in which the page changing roller constituting the passbook page changing mechanism has a large coefficient of friction, and the pressure changes with respect to changes in the amount of deformation. A passbook printing device is characterized in that it is made of a material with a low susceptibility, and a passbook holding pad made of a material with a large coefficient of friction is disposed at a position facing the page changing roller. This is achieved by a passbook printing device.

In the passbook page turning mechanism in the passbook printing device according to the present invention, the page changing roller is made of a very soft material, that is, an elastic body with a small reaction force against deformation, and the force necessary for page turning is applied in this way. This is obtained from the force generated by the deformation of the page changing roller made of a material that is made of a material that is similar to the material used, and the frictional force between the page changing roller and the page to be turned in the passbook.

FIG. 5 is a graph showing the relationship between the amount of deformation and force of the page change roller used in the page change mechanism in the passbook printing device according to the present invention. As shown in the figure, the page changing roller used in the present invention has a relationship between changes in the force F generated as a reaction force to changes in the amount of deformation (changes in the thickness of the passbook) compared to conventional rollers. The force F is within the range necessary for turning the pages of the bankbook within the range of change in the thickness of the bankbook.

In addition, in the passbook page change mechanism in another passbook printing device according to the present invention, a pad with a very high friction coefficient for holding the passbook is provided directly below the page change roller.
It is necessary that the coefficient of friction between this pad and the cover of the passbook is higher than the coefficient of friction between the inner sheets of the passbook.

As shown in the reference diagram in Figure 6, when the conventional turn page mechanism is used to turn a bankbook by hand, the right hand holds the center of the page to be turned, and the left hand turns the page to be turned. In this case, a considerable amount of force was required to hold the passbook with the left hand, and if the positions of the right and left hands were unbalanced, there was a problem that the passbook would rotate. The passbook page changing mechanism in the passbook printing device of the present invention corresponds to the case where the passbook is turned with only the left hand by placing a finger under the page to be turned, as shown in the reference diagram in FIG. Now pages can be turned reliably, and rotation due to imbalance between the left and right hands will not occur.

This situation will be explained in detail based on FIGS. 1(a) and (b). Note that the page changing roller 9 is a roller coated with relatively soft sponge-like rubber that has a small pressure change when deformed. Here, it is important that the material of the rubber itself has high frictional resistance and high Jr. wear resistance.

As described above, page changing is performed by driving the page changing roller 9 using the motor 22. That is, with respect to the passbook 1 set in the position shown in FIG. 1(a), the motor 22 drives the page changing roller 9 counterclockwise to turn over the top page and change the page.
