As shown in FIG. 1, a conventional holder 10 for a liftable window glass for a vehicle includes a rod-shaped channel having a U-shaped cross section, and a U-shaped groove of the channel that fits along the longitudinal direction. It is composed of a rod-shaped filler that supports the lower edge of the window glass 4, and has a uniform cross-sectional shape in the longitudinal direction.

The above-mentioned conventional elevating vehicle window/glass holder has a uniform cross-sectional shape in the longitudinal direction, so most of the infiltrated water such as rainwater and car wash water is absorbed by the window/glass in Fig. 1. It travels between the glass 4 and a glass run (not shown) fitted to the sash 3, enters the door body 2, travels along the lower edge of the glass 4, accumulates at the opening tip of the holder 10, and falls from the opening tip. However, a portion of the infiltrated water is transmitted to the bottom outer wall surface of the holder 10 and reaches the guide rail 8, regulator arms 6, 7, and guide rail 9 of the window regulator 5 of the door body 2, so that the above-mentioned problem occurs. Parts are easily corroded, and a portion of the infiltrated water seeps into the vehicle interior from the attachment portions of the window regulator 5 and guide rail 9 to the door body 2.

This invention prevents parts such as the guide rail and regulator arm of the window regulator inside the door body from corroding due to infiltrating water that has passed through the lower edge of the window glass, and also prevents the parts from entering the door body from corroding. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a holder for an elevating vehicle window glass that prevents water from seeping into a vehicle interior from a mounting part.

In order to achieve the above object, the holder for a liftable window glass for a vehicle of the present invention includes a channel, a filler that fits in a groove of the channel along the longitudinal direction and supports the lower edge of the window glass. In the holder for an elevating window glass for a vehicle, the opening tip in the longitudinal direction of either the channel or the filler is protruded, and the bottom inner wall surface of the opening tip is larger than the bottom outer wall surface of the channel. Located below, a gap is provided between the bottom inner wall surface and the lower edge of the window glass.

In the present invention configured as described above, after the infiltrated water reaches the opening end of the channel or filler, it falls from the opening end without reaching the bottom outer wall surface of the upper channel. Since a part of the holder does not reach the guide rail, regulator arm, or other parts inside the door body from the bottom outer wall of the holder, these parts will not corrode, and water will not infiltrate from the attachment part of the door body. There is no leakage into the interior of the vehicle.

The holder 10 includes a longitudinal channel 11 having a U-shaped cross section, and a channel 1 having a U-shaped cross section that fits in the U-shaped groove of the channel 11 along the longitudinal direction.
The filler 12 is slightly shorter than the filler 12. The upper outer wall surface of a guide rail 8 having a U-shaped cross section and forming a window regulator (not shown) is welded to the bottom outer wall surface 13 of the channel 11. The lower edge of the glass 4 is fitted and supported within the U-shaped groove of the filler 12. channel 11
The opening tip 14 in the longitudinal direction is formed low with a step, and the bottom inner wall surface 14a of the tip of the opening tip 14 is located below the bottom outer wall surface 13 of the channel 11. A gap is provided between the inner wall surface 14a and the glass 4.

According to this embodiment configured in this way, water that has penetrated into the interior of the door 1 along the lower edge of the glass 4 is directed to the bottom outer wall surface 13 of the upper channel 11.
By falling from the bottom inner wall surface 14a of the opening tip 14 of the channel 11, some of the infiltrating water does not reach the guide rail 8 inside the door body and the regulator arm, and furthermore, the water does not reach the door body. There is no leakage into the passenger compartment from the mounting parts of the parts.
