Conventionally, containers of this type, such as canning containers, are used to store and store stored items, and are manufactured from materials that can withstand breakage and scratches. However, in order to save resources, containers are made of ultra-thin aluminum plates or plastic plates, and if they are damaged or scratched during storage or transportation, they no longer serve the purpose of containers. For this reason, the entire container is housed in an outer box made of inexpensive paperboard to prevent the container from being directly damaged or scratched. However, storing and packaging the container in such an outer box is time-consuming and the outer box is expensive, which does not meet the objectives of saving resources and reducing costs. Therefore, an exterior package formed into a cylindrical body is known as a package that is simpler to package and uses less material.

In such a case, as shown in FIG. 4, the width of the lid 3 is larger than the width of the bottom wall 4, so one side of the outer cylindrical body 6 into which the container 1 is inserted is the width of the lid 3. When the other side has a rectangular cross section with the height of the side wall 5, the width of the surface along the bottom wall 4 is larger than the bottom wall 4, so when an external force is applied from the side, it becomes cylindrical as shown in the imaginary line. The bodies 6 are easily deformed, which may cause them to collapse when stacked for storage.

On the other hand, in order to eliminate such inconveniences, when the cylindrical body is shaped to follow the outer circumferential shape of the container 1, the cross-sectional shape of the cylindrical body becomes approximately trapezoidal, which is compared to a rectangular cross-sectional shape. However, there is an inconvenience in that it takes a lot of time to manufacture.

In order to eliminate such conventional inconveniences, the present invention has a rectangular cross-section of the exterior body and is provided with means for fixing the exterior body and the bottom wall of the container housed therein. An exterior body for enclosing the outside of an article storage container 1 in which an opening formed at the upper edge of the side wall 5 of a container body 2 is covered with a lid body 3 that is parallel to the bottom wall 4 and wider than the bottom wall 4. is made into a rectangular cylindrical body 6 with a rectangular cross section, using a bendable plate material, with the width of the lid 3 as one side and the height of the side wall 5 as the other side, into which the container 1 can be freely inserted in its axial direction. Folds 11 and 12 are formed on the bottom wall of the cylindrical body 6 and are aligned with positions on both outer sides of the container bottom wall 4 along the insertion direction of the container 1, and approximately on the folds 11 and 12. U-shaped cut lines 7 and 8 are formed opposite to each other to form free pieces 9 and 10 which are folded back at outer positions of the side walls 5 and 5 of the container 1, and the free pieces 9 and 10 are used to form the container 1. It is characterized by that the side walls 5, 5 of are locked.

The container 1 has a central panel surface 3a as shown in the second figure.
The panel surface 3a of the lid body 3 with the outer peripheral edge 3b raised is inserted into the opening of the container body 2, and the outer peripheral edge 3b of the lid body 3 and the upper edge of the side wall 5 are tied together by double seaming. I put it on and closed the lid. Therefore, only the reinforcing step portion 5a and the seaming portion 5b formed on the side wall 5 of the container body 2 have a wide shape in which the lid 3 side protrudes outward from the bottom wall 4.

Folding lines 11 and 12 matched to the positions of both outer edges of
On the cut lines 11 and 12, substantially U-shaped cut lines 7 and 8 which are opposed to each other are formed. More specifically, both incision lines 7 and 8 are formed in an arc shape at both side portions 17 and 18. The free pieces 9, 10 formed by the two score lines 7, 8 were bent inward into the cylindrical body 6 by the folds 11, 12 provided between the ends of the two score lines 7, 8.

With the above structure, the container 1 inserted into the exterior body as shown in FIG. Therefore, even if an external force is applied to the cylindrical body 6 from above the diagonal, movement of the container 1 relative to the cylindrical body 6 is restricted and the exterior body is not deformed. In the embodiment described above, both sides of the free pieces 9, 10 are formed into a fan shape by the side parts 17, 18 of both the cut lines 7, 8, so that it is less likely to be seen through the openings on both sides of the exterior body, and the appearance is improved. In addition, when the corrugated paperboard forming the exterior body is used so that the core liner 21 thereof is perpendicular to the folds 11 and 12 as shown in the third figure, both sides 17 of both score lines 7 and 8, 1
8 crosses the corrugated shape of the core liner 21, so delamination of the corrugated paperboard at both sides 17, 18 is prevented and the strength is not reduced.

In this way, according to the present invention, the lid body 3 is attached to the bottom wall 4.
The exterior body enclosing the wider article storage container 1 is made of a bendable plate material, with the width of the lid body 3 as one side and the height of the side wall 5 as the other side, so that the container 1 is oriented in its axial direction. Since it is formed into a rectangular cylindrical body 6 with a rectangular cross section that can be freely inserted into the housing, even if the outer body of the storage container 1 has a substantially trapezoidal cross section, it can be easily changed to a rectangular cross section. The bottom wall of the cylindrical body 6 has folds 11 and 12 aligned with the outer sides of the bottom wall 4 along the insertion direction of the container 1, and the folds 11 and 12. 12 are formed with substantially U-shaped cut lines 7 and 8 that face each other to form free pieces 9 and 10 that are folded back at outer positions of the side walls 5 and 5 of the container 1, and the free pieces 9 and 10 are Since the side walls 5, 5 of the container 1 are locked together, the container 1 can be taken in and out smoothly, and the cross section is a square cylinder with a rectangular cross section in which the storage container 1 having a substantially trapezoidal cross section is housed. Even in the case of the shaped body 6, its deformation is prevented by the free pieces 9, 10 that abut against the side walls 5, 5 of the storage container 1, so that there is no risk of stacking and collapsing even when the exterior bodies are stacked.
