Description
The present invention relates to an electric work vehicle that is configured to perform, for example, ground work or other work while moving the vehicle body, and that is equipped with an electric motor that can drive the vehicle body and a battery that supplies driving power to the electric motor.
In this type of electric work vehicle, as described in Patent Document 1, for example, when the battery's power is consumed, charging is performed from an external power supply device connected via a connection connector. When charging the battery in this type of electric work vehicle, the maximum charging current that can be passed through the battery is instructed to the power supply device and supplied to the battery so that charging can be completed in as short a time as possible.
When a charging current is applied to a battery such as the one described above to charge it, the current generates Joule heat, causing the internal temperature of the battery to rise. Conventionally, the maximum charging current that can be passed through the battery is supplied to the battery from the power supply device, which causes a large temperature rise. For example, if the battery is charged until it is fully charged, the temperature may become high.
Vehicles that are only used for transportation, such as passenger cars, require a large driving force when starting off, but do not require such a large driving force while driving. Furthermore, the battery is cooled by driving at high speeds, so there is little risk of the battery temperature rising.
However, for example, in the case of electric work vehicles used for ground work and other tasks, a large drive load is always applied when driving the vehicle for work, and a large drive current is required for the electric motor to output a large drive force. When such a large drive current flows, the battery temperature can rise significantly. In particular, sealed batteries are sometimes used in agricultural work to protect them from dust and muddy water, in which case the temperature is difficult to reduce.
If work driving is started immediately after the charging process is completed, and the battery is being charged at the maximum charging current and the battery temperature is rising, the battery temperature may rise too high due to the temperature rise caused by work driving, causing the battery to detect an abnormal temperature, resulting in a decrease in output or early deterioration.
Therefore, there was a demand for a way to prevent the battery temperature from rising too high while driving for work.
The characteristic configuration of the electric work vehicle of the present invention is that it comprises an electric motor capable of driving the vehicle body to run, a battery that supplies driving power to the electric motor and is chargeable by an external power supply device, a temperature detection means for detecting the temperature of the battery, and a control device that controls the operation of the electric motor and controls the charging state by the power supply device, wherein the control device is configured, when charging is being performed by the power supply device, to set a target charging current based on the detection value of the temperature detection means and preset setting conditions so that the battery will be in a state where it is possible to drive for work after charging, and the battery is charged by the power supply device at the set target charging current, and the target charging current changes successively during charging .
According to the present invention, when charging the battery using the power supply device, the control device sets the target charging current so that the battery is ready for work driving after charging is completed. That is, the temperature of the battery before charging is detected by the temperature detection means. Then, the target charging current is set based on the detected temperature value and preset setting conditions.
Various conditions can be considered as the set conditions. In other words, the temperature rise of the battery that occurs during work driving after charging can be predicted in advance through experiments, etc., and the target temperature is set to be lower by the amount of that temperature rise, and charging conditions are set that enable efficient charging while keeping the temperature lower than that temperature. The charging current set in this way is supplied to charge the battery.
Therefore, even if the battery temperature rises when work is carried out after charging, it will not exceed the allowable temperature, and it is possible to prevent the battery temperature from rising too high when work is being carried out.
In the present invention, it is preferable that the control device presets, as the setting condition, a correlation between the temperature rise of the battery predicted to occur due to work driving after charging and a target charging current corresponding to the temperature rise of the battery allowed by charging.
With this configuration, the allowable temperature at which the battery may malfunction and the detection value of the temperature detection means can be used to determine the amount of battery temperature rise that is allowable during charging, so an appropriate target charging current can be calculated and set from the allowable amount of temperature rise based on a preset correlation.
In the present invention, the control device is configured to stop the operation of the electric motor or execute a power usage reduction process to reduce the drive output of the electric motor when the temperature of the battery detected by the temperature detection means exceeds the allowable upper limit temperature during work driving, and it is preferable that the correlation is set so that the temperature of the battery can be reduced to a level at which the power usage reduction process is not executed, even if the temperature rises due to work driving after charging.
According to this configuration, if the battery temperature exceeds the upper allowable temperature limit during work travel and this condition continues, there is a risk of the battery malfunctioning. Therefore, by executing the power usage reduction process, the amount of current supplied from the battery can be reduced to avoid the risk of malfunctioning. However, with this configuration, the vehicle body may stop moving or work may not be performed properly.
Therefore, when setting the target charging current during charging, a correlation is set so that the battery temperature can be suppressed to a temperature at which power consumption reduction processing is not executed. As a result, it is possible to perform work well without incurring a decrease in work efficiency due to the execution of power consumption reduction processing during work driving.
A characteristic configuration of another electric work vehicle of the present invention includes an electric motor capable of driving the vehicle body to travel, a battery that supplies driving power to the electric motor and is chargeable by an external power supply device, a temperature detection means for detecting the temperature of the battery, and a control device that controls the operation of the electric motor and controls the charging state by the power supply device, wherein the control device is configured to set a target charging current when charging by the power supply device is performed based on the detection value of the temperature detection means and preset setting conditions so that work driving is possible after charging, a working device is detachable from the vehicle body, and the control device is configured to set the target charging current to different values between an attached state in which the working device is attached and an unattached state in which the working device is not attached .
According to the present invention, when the battery is charged by the power supply device, the control device sets the target charging current so that the battery is ready for work travel after charging is completed. That is, the temperature of the battery before charging is detected by the temperature detection means. Then, the control device sets the target charging current based on the detected temperature and preset setting conditions.
Various conditions can be considered as the set conditions. In other words, the temperature rise of the battery that occurs during work driving after charging can be predicted in advance by experiments, etc., and a target temperature is set lower by the amount of the temperature rise, and charging conditions are set that enable efficient charging while suppressing the temperature lower than that temperature. The charging current set in this way is supplied to charge the battery.
Therefore, even if the battery temperature rises when work driving is performed after charging, the temperature will not exceed the allowable temperature, and it is possible to prevent the battery temperature from rising too much when work driving is being performed.
If a working implement is attached, the driving load on the electric motor is large, and the temperature rise in the battery caused by traveling for work is large. In contrast, if a working implement is not attached, the driving load on the electric motor is small, and the temperature rise in the battery caused by traveling for work is small.
Therefore, in this configuration, the target charging current is set to different values when the working device is attached and when it is not attached. As a result, it is possible to supply an appropriate charging current according to the working conditions.
In the present invention, it is preferable that the work device is provided with a work machine side control unit, the work machine side control unit and the control device are configured to be able to communicate information via a communication means, and the control device is configured to determine the type of the work device attached based on the identification information transmitted from the work machine side control unit and set the target charging current according to the difference in type.
If a work device with a large drive load is attached, the drive load on the electric motor is large, and the temperature rise in the battery caused by work driving is large. In contrast, if a work device with a small drive load is not attached, the drive load on the electric motor is relatively small, and the temperature rise in the battery caused by work driving is relatively small.
Therefore, in this configuration, the target charging current is set to a different value depending on the type of work device that is attached. As a result, charging can be performed at an appropriate target charging current depending on the type of work to be performed after charging.
In the present invention, it is preferable that the outside of the battery is covered in a storage case in a sealed state.
With this configuration, the battery is sealed from the outside, making it less susceptible to damage from dust, muddy water, and other elements that may occur during farm work, etc., and improving durability.

The charging

[Charging Control]
When the
When charging is being performed by the power supply device KD, the
The specific charging control of the
When charging the driving
When the charging mode is entered, the internal temperature of the driving
That is, the
The
The allowable current value (maximum value) that can be supplied to the driving
If the above-mentioned allowable current value continues to flow from the start of charging until charging is completed (full charge), the temperature of the driving
Therefore, correlation data is preset that indicates the relationship between data on the temperature rise of the driving
As a result, as shown by line W4 in Figure 8, even if the temperature rises due to the flow of the reconfigured target charging current, the temperature of the driving
Next, the necessary information is sent via the charging

[Another embodiment]
(1) In the above embodiment, a case has been described in which no working implement is connected to the rear of the vehicle body, but it is possible to detachably attach another working implement to the rear of the vehicle body, such as a rotary tiller or a plow. When such a working implement is attached, the driving load during travel for work increases, and the magnitude of the driving load differs depending on the type of working implement attached.
The
To explain further, as shown in FIG. 9, the vehicle body is provided with a main machine
When the working

As shown in FIG. 10, before setting the target charging current, the type of working
In addition, even if the work device 60 is not actually connected, the next work device to be connected may be manually set, and the temperature rise due to the work of that work device may be taken into consideration.
