Description

The present invention relates to a sloped roof eaves structure in which existing roof tiles are covered with new roof tiles, and a construction method for the same.

Generally, the eaves of a sloped roof are easily damaged because they are subject to rainwater running down from the roof surface. A method known as a cover method for repairing these eaves is to cover the existing eaves members with new eaves members (see, for example, Patent Documents 1 and 2).

The inventions described in Patent Documents 1 and 2 describe a method of covering the eaves members of an existing sloped roof with a new covering material. These covering materials are integrally formed with a part that covers the existing roof tiles below the waterline that protrude toward the eaves side, and a part that covers the existing water-repellent material, so they can effectively prevent rainwater from seeping in between the sheathing boards and the existing roof tiles.

Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 8-120848

However, the covering materials described in Patent Documents 1 and 2 do not cover the existing fascia material located below the existing flashing material, so there is a possibility that rainwater may seep in between the existing fascia material and the sheathing board. In addition, the degree of damage and bending of each component of a damaged sloped roof varies depending on the component due to deterioration over time, so there is a risk that a covering material in which the part covering the existing roof tiles and the part covering the existing flashing material are integrated cannot be installed properly on the existing eaves components.

The present invention was made in consideration of the above-mentioned problems, and aims to provide a sloped roof eaves structure and construction method that can improve waterproofing and workability when renovating the eaves portion of a sloped roof.

The eaves structure of the first sloped roof of the present invention comprises a new eaves edge flashing material that covers an existing eaves edge flashing material installed on the eaves side of the main building that is furthest below the water, an eaves edge accessory that is fixed to the upper surface of the existing roof tile located furthest below the water and that engages the new roof tile that is located furthest below the water, and a new fascia material that covers the existing fascia material fixed to the eaves side surface of the main building , and the new eaves edge flashing material covers the existing eaves edge flashing material and protrudes to the underwater side. The new roof tile has a V-shaped gutter covering portion, a bent piece formed by bending the upper end of the gutter covering portion toward the eaves side , an extension portion that extends one end of the gutter covering portion on the main house side toward the above-water side, and a hanging portion that extends downward from one end of the extension portion on the main house side, and the eaves fitting covers the eaves side surface of the existing roof tile that is located furthest below water and the bent piece, and the hanging portion is covered by the new fascia material .

The second sloped roof eaves structure of the present invention is characterized in that the newly installed fascia material has a suspended eaves gutter fixed to the eaves side surface.

The third sloped roof eaves structure of the present invention is characterized in that the newly installed eaves drip-water material has a plate-shaped rainwater guide fixed to the eaves side surface, protruding below the water.

The first sloped roof eaves construction method of the present invention is a sloped roof eaves construction method using the sloped roof eaves structure described in any one of claims 1 to 3 , characterized in that the existing eaves drip material is covered with the newly installed eaves drip material, the eaves accessories are fixed to the upper surface of the existing roof tile that is located furthest below water, the eaves side surface of the existing roof tile and the folded piece are covered with one end on the below water side, and the existing fascia material and the hanging portion are covered with the newly installed fascia material.

According to the first sloped roof eaves structure of the present invention, the components covering the existing eaves components are divided into a new eaves drip-line material, eaves fittings, and new fascia material, making it easier to fit each of the existing eaves components and improving workability. In addition, the eaves fittings cover the eaves side surface of the existing roof tile that is located furthest below water, as well as the folded pieces, so rainwater can be effectively prevented from seeping in between the eaves fittings and the folded pieces.

According to the first sloped roof structure of the present invention, the lower end of the new eaves edge water drainage material is covered by the new fascia board material. Therefore, it is possible to effectively prevent rainwater from entering between the new eaves edge water drainage material and the new fascia board material.

According to the second sloped roof eaves structure of the present invention, the newly installed fascia material has a suspended eaves gutter fixed to the eaves side surface, so that the eaves gutter bracket is not noticeable, and the aesthetic appearance of the eaves after renovation can be improved.

According to the third sloped roof structure of the present invention, the new eaves edge flashing has a plate-shaped rainwater guide fixed to the eaves edge surface, which protrudes downward. Therefore, even if the bracket supporting the eaves gutter interferes and the gap between the eaves gutter and the new eaves edge flashing widens, rainwater can be prevented from dripping from the gap toward the new fascia board.

According to the eaves structure of the first sloped roof of the present invention, the part of the newly installed eaves flashing that covers the existing eaves flashing protrudes below the water, so that rainwater can be more reliably drained downward, improving waterproofing.

According to the first sloped roof construction method of the present invention, after covering the existing eaves flashing with the new eaves flashing, the eaves accessories are fixed to the top surface of the existing roof tile located furthest below water, and the eaves side surface and the folded piece of the existing roof tile are covered with one end of the underwater side, and the existing fascia material and the hanging part are covered with the new fascia material. Therefore, it is easy to fit each new eaves member to each existing eaves member, and construction can be improved. It is also possible to effectively prevent rainwater from entering between the new eaves flashing and the eaves accessories, and between the new eaves flashing and the new fascia material.

As shown in FIG. 3, the newly installed eaves gutter 2 has a plate-shaped rainwater guide 6 fixed to the eaves side surface 21a of the gutter covering part 21 with a new screw 8, and the newly installed fascia material 5 has an eaves gutter 7 installed on the eaves side surface 51a of the first covering part 51. The rainwater guide 6 is formed by bending a metal plate and consists of a gutter fixing piece 61 fixed to the gutter covering part 21 and a guide piece 62 that extends from one end of the gutter fixing piece 61 on the eaves side to below the water and guides rainwater to the eaves gutter 7, and one end of the guide piece 62 on the eaves side protrudes below the water further than the newly installed eaves gutter 2. As shown in the figure, the eaves gutter 7 is a so-called hanging type gutter in which the gutter part 71 that receives rainwater is supported from above by a bracket 72, so that the bracket 72 is not noticeable when looking up at the eaves part, improving the aesthetics of the eaves after renovation. The rainwater guide 6 guides rainwater received from the newly installed roof tiles 3 and eaves accessories 4 to the gutter section 71 using the guide pieces 62, so even if the bracket 72 interferes and widens the gap between the newly installed eaves dripping material 2 and the gutter section 71, it can effectively prevent rainwater from dripping from the gap toward the newly installed fascia material 5.

Next, the construction method of the eaves structure 1 of the sloped roof will be described. First, as shown in Figure 7, the existing eaves edge water drainage material X1 is covered with the new eaves edge water drainage material 2, and the water drainage fixing piece 61 of the rainwater guide 6 is overlapped with the water drainage covering part 21 of the new eaves edge water drainage material 2, and the water drainage covering part 21 and the water drainage fixing piece 61 are fixed to the existing eaves edge water drainage material X1 with the new screws 8. Then, as shown in Figure 8, the new asphalt roofing 10 is placed on top of the existing roof tile X2, the bent piece 22 is covered with the engaging piece 43b of the eaves edge accessory 4, and the eaves side surface X2b of the existing roof tile X2 is covered with the covering piece 43a, and the placement part 41 is placed on top of the existing roof tile X2. In this way, the covering piece 43a and the locking piece 43b cover the eaves side surface X2b of the existing roof tile X2 and the folded piece 22, so rainwater can be effectively prevented from entering between the eaves accessory 4 and the folded piece 22.

Next, as shown in FIG. 9, the upper surface of the insulating material 9 is fixed to the lower surface of the covering portion 31 of the new roof tile 3 with double-sided tape or the like, and the insulating material 9 and the new roof tile 3 are installed on the new asphalt roofing 10 along the roof slope in order from below the water. When installing the new roof tile 3, first, the tile locking piece 32b of the new roof tile 3 that is to be placed most below the water is hooked into the eaves locking groove 42b of the eaves accessory 4, the insulating material 9 is placed on the new asphalt roofing 10, and one end of the above-water side hooking piece 33 of the new roof tile 3 is fixed to the existing roof tile X2 with a new screw 8. Next, the tile locking piece 32b of the new roof tile 3 to be placed above the water is fitted and locked into the tile locking groove 33a of the new roof tile 3 that was just installed, and the above-water side hooking piece 33 (not shown) is fixed to the existing roof tile X2. Using the same procedure, the new roof tiles 3 are installed on the entire roof surface from below the water to above the water.

Next, as shown in FIG. 3, the first covering portion 51 of the new fascia material 5 is overlapped with the hanging portion 24 of the new eaves water-repellent material 2 and the fixed portion X3a of the existing fascia material X3, the entire existing fascia material X3 is covered with the new fascia material 5, and the first covering portion 51 is fixed to the main roof X4 with the new screw 8 (not shown). By covering the hanging portion 24 of the new eaves water-repellent material 2 with the new fascia material 5 in this way, it is possible to effectively prevent rainwater from entering between the new eaves water-repellent material 2 and the new fascia material 5. In addition, since the new eaves member is divided into three parts, it is easy to fit the existing eaves member, and workability can be improved. Finally, the bracket 72 of the eaves gutter 7 is fixed to the first covering portion 51 of the new fascia material 5 with a fixing bracket not shown in the figure, and the gutter portion 71 is installed in the specified position to complete the eaves structure 1 of the sloped roof.

In this way, the eaves structure 1 of the sloped roof of the present application covers the existing eaves drainage material X1 with the new eaves drainage material 2, then covers the eaves side surface X2a of the existing roof tile X2 and the upper end of the new eaves drainage material 2 with one end of the underwater side of the eaves fitting 4, and further covers the lower end of the existing eaves drainage material X3 and the new eaves drainage material 2 with the new fascia material 5, so that it is possible to effectively prevent rainwater from entering between the new eaves drainage material 2 and the eaves fitting 4, and between the new eaves drainage material 2 and the new fascia material 5. And by combining the rainwater guide 6 and the overhead-hung eaves gutter 7, the aesthetic appearance of the eaves area after renovation can be made favorable.
